The thing I hear over and over from providers, in person, on boards, in social media that they hate as much as anything is time wasters. Dudes who are constantly on with requests, questions, offers, counter-offers, demands, and never actually show up for an appointment with, you know, money.

For this reason, I am, with rare exception, reluctant to carry on much back and forth with a provider. Sure, I might enjoy sexting before an appointment to build things up, but I'm dealing with someone who may have kids, another job, 8 other clients on the line, and 15 time wasters in her e-mail box. I bet half the dudes who get turned down for appointments or outright ignored have no idea it's because they have a reputation as a time waster.

From my perspective, as far as only one attempt to contact a provider, I hope it would be by email and not just a single phone message with a name and number and no info about when you want to book. When the only contact is just a phone message I admit I do not always return all phone calls that I get outside of my posted business hours. you would not believe the extreme number of messages i get all hours of the day and in the middle of the night that just say um hello...and that is all. However if someone takes the time to leave me a complete message that says i want to book an apointment later, then I always return the call but the guys who call me when i am not working and leave a phone number only may not get a return call. May I suggest that for a provider like me who works predictable regular hours of mon-fri 10-5 that it is best to contact on the day of the desired appointment or email in advance for future bookings. I think if they are calling me outside of the posted hours they must want an appointment then and not being reading the ad where it says my hours. I hope no one contacts me once and then never tries again. call when you want an appointment, last minute ok during my posted business hours. If it is after hours. then email is best.
