Dinner dates can be fun.....but
Many hobbyists don't want to pay for time spent with a provider not BCD
And many providers don't want to spend time off the clock with a hobbyist.

Several women have responded similarly and I don't understand. It might not pass as a business dinner, but why couldn't it pass as just a date? I doubt he would point out to anyone that it was a paid date. The only reason I can see that as a problem is if you have an SO. Just curious....

My other question is...would a lady who feels this way be more comfortable if the date was out of town?
Oh, and with all the restaurants...aren't there some out of the way restaurants where this wouldn't be a problem.
I'm a big fan of the Pappasitos on 290.

Most definitely! Lessens the risk of being recognized...

If a provider is worried about being recognized in one of the more than 8,000 restaurants in Houston area me thinks she is either very high volume or paranoid.

Very god point, OFS! Much like I have a list I send Houston visitor of the area hot spots, I have another list if places you'll never worry about being recognized!
Some rather good places, actually, lol.

The lunch up charge I thought was fair was $ in top of standard 2 hr rate. I wouldn't pay more than that but that's me.

There is nothing wrong with thinking ahead, not everyone will be in this industry forever. If you're not attractive in the first place and no one cares to remember seeing you, (shrug) then some people are already used to that. Most normal people have a "type" that they date in the RW and wouldn't mind being seen out with. Of course not every woman is picky, obviously. What is considered "omg" on here is not usually the "RW omg". Different strokes for different folks "for sure" on here but hey, that's part of the hobby right? lol Some UTR's use the hobby as their means of dating, that's their choice. Words go farther on here than actually standing in front of a full length mirror "naked" and honestly liking what one "honestly" sees (there wouldn't be so much photo shop going on). No worries though, to each their own

I'm with Fancy on this, though I have avoided doing this in my area, because it's a small town & I know a lot of people here. Not that it's anyone's business who I am with, being that I'm single, but I didn't want to have to answer any questions regarding who I was with, etc. Now that I'm an empty nester, I may become more open to it.

Frequently such dates include a trip to the ballet, symphony, or similar event, so I'm spending several hours with a fellow fully clothed. (Call it a foreplay "dress rehearsal.") I've also done 3-day weekends and extended vacations with lovely gents, some I knew for a while first, some I went in "cold" after heavy screening, communication via email and phone, and receipt of a deposit. I find it challenging, interesting, and just downright cool to have adventures with fellows out of the bedroom, too. (Hmmm.... perhaps I don't have an "on" or "off" switch. I'm just ME all the time.)
I recently started offering a "Chick & a Flick" date, so I get to go to the movies, which I love, often lunch as well (if I have the extra time, and no, I don't expect reimbursement for something I volunteer to do because I want to, same thing for post-session lunch/supper with friendly fellows when we've worked up an appetite), then take the gentleman home and we lay out our own steamy plot line. Fun way to spend an afternoon or evening. Some ladies will laugh at this, as I'm sure they would make more money in the same period by seeing multiple clients, but I like the relaxing flow of it, the conversation it stimulates, and whatever else our imaginations come up with. (Maybe a wee bit of teenage-type teasing in a dark theater? )

I think that seems very fair.
$100 for lunch. $150-200 for dinner?

Well yes, because everyone knows that I love talking and getting to know people, lol. I seriously do cook though & love nothing more than to prepare someone's favorite dish, hang out several hrs & have it seem like a real life experience, but perhaps with the heat in the kitchen turned up a bit. Even early pre-dawn breakfast is good! I think if I'd done this in my twenties, I'd probably had wound up taking my culinary adventures overseas.
