Default Eccie time stamp

Minor but annoying issue. When I read posts the time stamp is always five hours ahead of our eastern standard time. So the actual time is 9:30 am but a recent post says 2:30 pm. Is this a configuration issue on my end or just the way it is?

Any time you are on a web site and the time is 5 hours ahead of EST, that means you are using GMT (Greenwich Mean Time), which is the default standard for the 'Net in general. You will almost always have an "option" to change it in your User Control Panel, if you are a registered member of the site.
