Visa gift cards

I would never take one from someone I didn't know well. I have taken them in the amount of my rate from gentlemen whom I have known for awhile and never had an issue. Most of the time though, they have been given as a gratuity.

if getting a card is more of a convenience for you.... on that same rack as the gift cards are the netspend and paypal refill cards, get one of those instead.

Of course he can, although I'm sure you can spend it before they freeze the balance.

Also if its not in the sealed package and has already been verified he can write down the number beforehand, give the card to you, have you verify the balance, get his services, and then make some Amazon purchases with it himself to drain the balance before you can.

Ultimately isn't cash just the safest and hassle free method?

I have never thought about and probably would not use one in the hobby .I get a few as gifts from vendors and family.I have had problems using them at some places .Cash is King.

I don't usually post on open board specifics of how I do my business, but I think some help is needed here to help some from getting scammed with the gift card thing. There are other ways to be able to use your credit card in order to purchase a substitute for actual legal tender.

I use these cards to collect payment for my phone and video sessions, and also to send and receive money when I am out of town.

Both of these I'm sure you have seen on the gift card rack. The first is the Netspend refill, a lot of girls have this.. you'll have to ask the girl you're seeing if she has a Netspend card. What you see in the pictures is not a credit card, it is a small cardboard placard with a scratch off strip on the back. When you purchase any refill, make sure that you also get the receipt from the cashier.

The third pic is of the Paypal refill, pretty much the same thing. Scratch off the strip on the back, and enter the number when prompted on the website to load your account. These funds are in your Paypal account, so be advised that in order to transfer that money into your bank account or prepaid card (hell sometimes I put it on my Netspend card) you will have to wait 2-3 business days for the transfer. You can also load it onto your card, but I don't recommend using , especially not for hobby business, because they are dicks.

The middle pic is an example of how the back of both cards are supposed to look, with the scratch off ink strip on the back.

You cannot redeem it without scratching off the strip on the back, so ladies as long as he hasn't done that, you shouldn't have to worry about anything. If he has scratched it off, I would not accept it. Both cards you have to wait 30 min to load into your account from the time of purchase. By the time he gets to you, that time should have expired already, thus ready to load. With both cards the easiest and fastest way would be to do it online. It takes less than 5 minutes, so if he insists in paying this way, surely he can wait while you load it into your account.

I've actually done this quite a few times/often with a few different guys...

IF it's a Guy I've seen enough times or regularly enough to feel comfortable/confident that there won't be any bs with the card or "barter" lol then I have NO problem with them giving me a Visa Card, Walmart Gift Card, Gas Card (or fill my tank and pay the difference in cash) or even paying certain of my monthly bills directly (gas, water, electric, phone, etc). These are things I will be using the money for anyway or places I'll have to be going to anyway and I know it can be easier/less fuss than taking out cash for some guys. OH and I do NOT expect a "tip" or extra amount for doing it this way versus cash.

thanks a lot daphne, does having a netspend card let you withdraw from ATM's, because I could buy a card and then load up and withdraw at ATM'S with cash?
