Default 16 American cities foreign governments warn their citizens about

Interesting read:

http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/...bout//?print=1

As regards Texas, only Houston and El Paso made the list.

El Paso? Bullshit

"El Paso ranked safest large city in U.S. for 3rd straight year"

Now whats going on the other side of the river is a different matter.

Well, the warning was:

El Paso: The British Foreign Office warns tourists about violence along the border with Mexico, and the border crossing at Ciudad Juarez specifically.

The list isn't the 16 most dangerous US cities. It is just 16 US cities for which foreign governments give warnings. For whatever reason.

I was in El Paso a few weeks ago, picking up a friend who needed a ride back to Lubbock. I arrived at about 11;00 pm on Saturday, checked into Motel 6, then headed back up Montana Ave. to get a bedtime snack at the 7-Eleven. While I was waiting for one of the traffic signals to change, two scary Spanish dudes, wearing bling and bandanas, pulled up on my left side in a new SUV, looked over at me and started flashing signs with their hands--holding up two fingers, then pointing at the road ahead and down at the ground. When the light turned green though, they just proceeded on down the street. As I turned in to the convenience store parking lot, it became apparent what they'd been trying to communicate: I'd forgotten to turn my headlights on.

Pretty congenial city, IMHO.

From the article, which was pretty good:

"Germany doesn’t warn its citizens about any specific cities, but it does caution against letting it all hang out: “Although the laws in individual states categorizing nudity as ‘indecent exposure’, are rarely asserted and punished, those laws should absolutely be followed. Nude bathing and changing clothes at the beach stirs up public agitation and can lead to unpleasantnesses.”

Depends on whether she is pretty or not!!!
