You are correct on that. And that is the reason i'm not really a fan of George. I personally knew a guy that wrote some songs for him. I LOVE a group/artist that do their own material.
Boom, i'm with you on 2 Tons. Saw them at a private gig that a local alcohol distributor threw by Pat Maloneys place back when they called themselves the Dead Crickets. OUTSTANDING party!

I worked as a concert stagehand from '96 to '06 and worked every major tour that came to town, and met most of the artists. I've seen everyone I've ever wanted to see twice, and everyone I never wanted to see 3 times! Live music has always been my addiction. Top 3 shows ever are (1) Earth Wind & Fire in Toronto in '79, (2) Springsteen on the "Darkness on the Edge of Town" tour, and (3) The Allman Brothers (w/ Dickie Betts) at The Backyard in Austin. Shows seen this year include Steely Dan in Austin, BB King at Gruene Hall, and Diana Krall at The Majestic.

Way too many to name. I did get to meet Joe Elliott of Def Leppard and Klause Meine and Matthias Jabs of Scorpions.

But as for who Ive seen recently,
I was in Fairfax Virginia this past 4th of July,
eating and sipping wine alone at a restaurant across the street from my hotel. I asked the bartender for any suggestions of what was going on that night.
Turns out there was a huge Free outdoor music fest going on, ended up getting to see a couple great bands, but the best part for me was I got to see Third Eye Blind, And then The B-52's!
Pretty cool seeing how it was totally unexpected! Free is good too lol. Turned out to be a great 4th of July!

Lol looooove the b-52s.

I was so hoping someone would say Elvis. I was talking with a friend earlier this year and he was telling me, he saw Elvis when he came to louisanna back in the early 70's.
Myself I like the concerts at the rodeo too. You get the rodeo and then a concert.
Reba McEntire
Brooks & Dunn
Taylor Swift
at a celtic music festival I saw
Celtica
Blaggards

Remember a guy I worked with years ago saying that Elvis came to Mangus Corner (Pearsall road and 1604) in the 1950's and performed at some place there. (American Legion?)

I have a different Elvis story. Years ago, back in Germany. A clerk heard a family discuss their dinner plans which included homemade Texas Chili. The Clerk asked if he could be invited. And that evening a small military family stationed in Germany had Elvis as a dinner guest and yes, he did sing for his supper.
