Massage Parlors

Hello Guys

I see you always make reviews and comments about Hotel del Rey or Little Havana or Sportsmens Lodge, or Jaco.

But are you aware of the "massage parlor scene" in Costa Rica?

It is pretty big actually, and you can find places with happy ending only or full service, and places from thrashy girls, to places with girls that could be models, and that offer private rooms with bathrooms, etc. etc.

In those FS places you can spend a full hour with a girl that could be in a magazine cover, and will cost you like $100 - $150 with all included.

Only problem I see is that usually their ads and marketing is done in spanish.
Here is a forum where you can not only find massage parlors (Salas de Masaje) but also escorts with Incall/Outcall ("Damas de Compañia").

Most topics usually include pictures of the girls (face-less) so that you can have an idea of what you will find.

$100 - 150? Dollars? That's insane, most Del Rey Ticas don't even run that high! New Fantasy is 19000/28000 (half/full hour) colones, Candyland 15000/20000, Jet Set 10000/20000, and Relax 12000 colones. That's about $25 - 60 dollars, with all included.

I have lived in Costa Rica for almost 5 years now and the prices quoted are very high. There is a big difference between vacationing and living here I will admit. But if you can spend some time here outside of Jaco or San Jose you will find locals who will spend whatever time you need and will give you what ever you are looking for, for very little. I personally will never spend over $40 US on any girl. As far as I am concerned Jaco is a big rip off. San Jose is still high but much better then Jaco, any time of the year. The biggest problem I have with Jaco and San Jose is the girls are professionals and take advantage of the tourist and are in the most part mechanical. I will also put Tamarindo into this category even though the action is limited.

Guys go to the local hang outs (must speak spanish) and you will find the real diamonds in the ruff for far less.

What part do you live in? I have visited a few times and am seriously thinking about moving to CR. I speak decent Spainish but only after I have spent a few days in CR getting used to the language again.

With all due respect, you are way off on your prices. I have lived here for 7 years and was coming to C.R. 3 years prior to moving here. New Fantasy is $55, HLH is $50 and the New Zona II is about $50 as well. Others range from $20 - 35 for 30 minutes but mostly Tico's go there. Costa Rica is still a great value for the gentleman traveler.

Well, quality of the girls and venue in those places you mentioned is not as good as other MPs such as Divas, Paradise VIP, Fusion Girls , M&S, which have prices closer to what I said

DFWgentelman, Sorry for the delay but I don't log into ECCIE very often. I live in a popular beach area of Guanacaste (that is as close as I feel comfortable giving out).

You have to spend sometime getting to know the locals before they will be comfortable with you, even though they will never show it. After awhile (took me over a year) you will have some close local friends who will guide you, introduce you around, invite you to their Fiesta's and help you find those special ones. But be carful who you befriend, there are some who just want to take advantage of you and your situation, so take it slow get to know different locals first. You will find out from your friends who to stay away from and who to get to know in time. It is an investment that really pays off. What I am saying here is really for those who live here and not the tourist as tourist would never have the time to invest.

I would also stay away from the Expats who are just out to monger as this may hamper your reputation locally and the Tica's do talk, they will know more about you and who your Expat friends (reputation) are more then you think with in days of your arrival!


I don't think in most areas of Costa Rica you will find it different from what I have found unless you end up in the San Jose Valley area or Jaco.
As far as SJ or Jaco you are just a $$$ sign and it will be difficult to really blend into the locals as we Expats have a terrible reputation in those areas. Now you may find a non-hooker to hang out with but it will cost you dearly down the road in dollars.

In conclusion, for me I personally stay away from San Jose or Jaco now, total waste of money and time. There is so much more to Costa Rica then San Jose or Jaco!!

Carajo, as far as San jose is concerned your prices are at the very high end. Yes, the women are beautiful, but you can find the same quality women if you take your time and look around at the different MP in San Jose. Spending $100 in any MP in San Jose is a total and complete Rip off, it is well over the normal Gringo price. Hell you can have you pick of hundreds of independent lady for less then that price. Check out the new Zona Blue (old HLH) and for $30 to $40 you can get the same beautiful women as you are getting at your Rip off Mp.

Next time call One Lucky Dog and get to learn the real San Jose. Now as I have posted before even at the lower rate (which are easy to come by) for me you are still paying too much

Nope, I have no business relationship with any MP.
I am actually costarican. I have visited those MPs you mention. New Fantasy, IDEM, and others. Most of them are ghetto, in shady parts of town, and with sketchy girls. Of course, I won't deny, in some cases you can be lucky and get real diamonds in the rough, and I won't deny that prices are a bargain here.

Now, because of the low prices, these places attract real lowlife customers and girls are used to high traffic.

All I'm pointing out here, is that there are other choices. My choice, is to frequent cleaner places, in areas where I can park my car without worries of being vandalized, Where the rooms will smell nice, have clean sheets in beds or massage tables, and clean towels, and where I can even find 18 year olds who are new to the hobby and some even haven't had kids so no mommy tummies or flaccid tits or butts.

So, that is my cup of tea. I'm not forcing anyone to go nowhere, nor will make a cent from anybody visiting any MP, but I just to show tourists or expats that there are other places besides the San Jose MPs and there is life out of the Del Rey (which I heard has also gone downhill).

So that's it bro! Next time I go back to Costa Rica we can have a beer and talk about all this

Carajo, deal but the cerveza is on me! I agree with you on one point, San Jose and Jaco is no place to hobby for anyone except tourist with limited time. There is so much more to Costa Rica and the true Chica's who will give you that mind blowing hot latin experience if you know where and how to find them, but most important you must treat them with respect! Most Gringo's have no clue what an experience this can be.

My next adventure will be Nicaragua, it is like Costa Rica was 20 years ago. Life is good my man!!!

I will be very interested to hear the details. I only spent 1 night in Managua so I could not really get an accurate feel for the place. However my impression is that it is a good place to hobby with cheap prices and less commercial. Even though I paid Gringo prices I think I got and hour for less than $30 and the place was comfortable with a full bar and decent rooms. oh yeah and lots of Nicas. The place was called Bar Fenix. Local pricing I belive is even way cheaper (like $12 / hour) I did not mind considering it was still a bargain and I was the only Gringo and a main attraction. This hot young spinner latched on to me and made it clear to the others that she was gonna do whatever I wanted to keep me with her. How flattering even though I realize it is all about the Cordobas. I did get the impression that it is just not as cool of a place to hang-out like San Jose. In SJ I like to just get a cruncher or cono con mani and watch the people and walk around sight seeing. I think it may be too dangerous on the streets in Managua based on recommendations from the locals that I not go anywhere without a taxi. The Hotel and Bar had good security and were safe (although they did expect a tip from me. Again probably cause I am Gringo).....happy hobbying....Bill
