Cold Calls

While I don't have the same issues that some of the hobbyists have with SO's since I am single but I don't mind an occasional pm if one of my ATF's is running a special or comes back to town or something of that matter but out of the blue texts or especially calls IMHO are unacceptable. Before I started hobbying I had this dancer that I saw once outside of the gentleman's club start blowing up my phone every couple of weeks wanting to know when I was going to see her again . All I could tell her was I don't know I am busy at work I will let you know. After a couple of times she finally got the hint. Then out of the blue she calls again this time with a different phone number I finally had to tell her don't call me I will call you!!

So in conclusion:

PM's OK (just don't expect a response)
Phone calls and Text not OK

Haha... First time I've ever commented on my own post... I just wanted to add a twist... I like getting an occasional non-business text or PM asking me if I want to go to dinner or get a drink... I have a cheap hobby phone so it's not that much of a big deal to me... But I really don't like to be bothered after 9pm unless we have an appointment because I usually go to bed about 10.

He obviously was... I just don't understand these guys that make fun of "fat chicks" or "ugly chicks' when they need to look in the mirror... I am nowhere near perfect... My rule is if you call or text me and I can not get back to it in about 20-30 minutes I will not get back to you until you do me. I am not here to annoy, step on toes, be desperate or cause problems in someone's home.

As far as PM I have never sent out a PM asking for a date. I have noticed since moving down here that some times Gents will hint to a date via a first PM but, not ask. I have received PM's before complimenting me, or giving me advice (puppies or allergies) and noticed that he may be or was hinting to wanting to see me. I brought it up in a very classy way and I was in fact right. That was also after lengthy conversation via PM. That is about as far as fishing for dates I will go.

IMHO it is not classy and it makes your look desperate. Not trying to be ugly again just my opinion.

Yeah, I hear guys talking about girls saying stuff like what nerdy123 mentioned all the time. I don't get why girls spam... I mean, I guess the money and stuff probably plays the key part and maybe lack of interest from guys leads them to do said behavior... Unless they really do want to show guy they spammed who "the best" really is... But, geeez... It does seem desperate. I don't do desperate.
