Default At least 12 dead in mass shooting in Washington DC

http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-201_162-...least-12-dead/

What can you say about this?

I grieve for the families of the dead and our country.

I pray for those who look the other way.

I was waiting to see how long it would take somebody to post about this.

I suspect that folks are waiting to learn the identify of the shooter - Muslim terrorist or disgruntled fired worker.

And then the rapid-fire posting will begin.

This is classic Washington fishbowl:

http://www.mediaite.com/tv/ive-never...hood-shooting/

The CNN anchor said she never heard such a thing as a mass shooting on a military base. The other anchor reminded her of the Fort Hood massacre.

To a lot of the mainstream media, if it doesn't happen in NYC or in Washington, DC, it doesn't really count.

Key quote:
-------------------------------------
Anchoring the coverage of an ongoing mass shooting at the Washington Naval Yard, CNN anchor Carol Costello quizzed a producer on the scene about whether a military base like this has ever come under attack by a gunman before. Some have speculated that she was referring specifically to bases in the Washington D.C. area, but it was unclear why Costello did not reference the 2009 attack on Fort Hood by Maj. Nidal Hasan.

He is from Fort Worth.
I was being reported that LE was looking for 2 other guys ..

........... wearing military style clothing.

""He lived with me three years," a Texas man named Nutpisit Suthamtewakul told the Star-Telegram, calling Alexis his "best friend." He said Alexis had been working for a computer contractor. "I don't think he'd do this," said Suthamtewakul. "He has a gun but I don't think he's that stupid. He didn't seem aggressive to me." Alexis's motive remains unknown."

There are no men from "Texas ... named Nutpisit Suthamtewakul" ....period.

Here's a good link for now ... it will continually get broken ...

They are increasingly walking back from that,

One guy, who wore tan clothes, has already been cleared.

The other is supposedly a black male in his 50s wearing military style clothes carrying what appeared to be a long gun/rifle. But they are doubting that report now.

I hope so. I did hear a cautionary report on others being involved, and after looking at the information in the article he sounds like a disgruntled worker.

If one can use "disgruntled."

Nutpisit appears to be from Thailand.

If you Google his name, you will get his Facebook page. He has friends who are in Thailand with equally strange names.

Nutpisit married a blond Texas girl named Kristi.
