+1...
I prefer lights, the brighter the better. The only thing being seen are the ladies, for me anyway.

I vote for home, apartment or condo. Scented candles burning, dimmed lights (especially if the lights are colored), some wine or other cold beverages, and some nice jazz, slow reggae or soulful love songs playing softly in da background. Lastly need that A/C on or ceiling fan whirling! A steamy hot room causes pre-mature Buckeyes explosion.
Ahhh yes, the mood is then set for an epic Nutting Buckeye session!!!

apt. or homes are nice.
hotel problem is walking through lobbies and past front desk. same problem at apt. sometimes, but easier.
But yes agree with others, provider can make or break any venue.
provider is going to make hobbist comfortable or not.
to be honest, this from a white man driving a minivan(no comments)
I've been in some places that to be honest, I wouldn't feel comfortable being at night. The provider made it a wonderful experience.
I've been to some nice looking places in "good areas" and still feel uncomfortable. either front desk, maids, neighbors,or even provider.

At the high class hotels just look like you belong there. At one five star hotel Dallas had to come to the lobby to get me as you needed the room key to use the elevator. That time was memorable as her tongue was down my throat before the doors closed. Always dress for where you will be if it's a dingy motel a shirt with no tie. I always wear my shirts out as I have a conceal carry permit. Have some fun by taking a lady to the range it makes them horny as hell.

I like the private residence. Do not like the rent by the hour patel hotels.
I have been to an incall I was scared to get out of the car.

As long as the location doesn't provide a health risk, I'm pretty easy to please. Excess people traffic makes a nervous fella freak.
A-10 said it right, need great directions. I feel like an asshole circling a neighborhood. People notice a guy in a car alone they've never seen before make a couple passes by their home, makes them remember you more.
I'm so scared of candles. I have hair, I'm a man. Candle wax sucks to get out of hair. 'Nuff said.
I'm weird about music. I actually have a playlist or two, depending on what mode I'm in, if I wanna have sex or or straight up fuck. Just not sure how a provider will respond when I ask "got somewhere I can put this in?" referring to my (memory) stick. I love to share my music, so maybe this would be a nice icebreaker.

If you're a traveler a hotel is probably a must just be sure that if you're seeing a few clients that there are extra towels for cleanup and /or showering. Music is nice and with modern technology its very simple to have a play list or two or five of varying styles right on your phone. An inexpensive blue tooth speaker and you'll have more than you'll need. If you're local a home of some type. Apartment, house or condo. It's got to be clean. If it's not the guy will be wondering how clean you are. Stock your place for action. It won't be a tax write off but have condoms, a neutral soap and some mouth wash maybe for before and after. A Crock Pot with some rolled up hand towels in water (like AMT) is a good clean up. The better the visit, the better the review and repeat customers.

The smart ladies that travel all of the time are getting $200 rooms for $75-80 a night. I don't know how they do it but I have looked at the bill so she is not blowing smoke up my butt. I am talking 5 star hotels.

Apartments or hotels are ok with me. I always like the total experience of a hot woman in a clean tidy setting. Some ladies I have seen always have nice rooms that always look as if they had just checked into the room, even though I know they have been staying there for a while. Pets at the incall are ok by me, as long as they are clean and cared for. Prefer the airport or medical center area.

Years ago on the other board most of us were on before ECCIE, there was an Austin hobbyist who said he rented a storage unit, put in a bed and a light and had an instant incall!
That's a little rough, but I've been to all manners of hotels and apartments. As long as there's a bed with clean sheets and AC I'm happy, anything else is gravy. Music is cool, some jazz or other background music is good to put you in the mood.

I like a gated apt community, with apt entrances not facing out, so it's not obvious which door you are entering as you approach the building.
If it is a hotel, I prefer upscale enough so I can blend in as either a tourist or businessman.
I've rarely done the private residence thing, it really depends on the neighborhood.
But the apt thing is definitely my preference. It's something I look for in reviews.

Um wow a storage unit??? Excuse the blunt that I am about to display but, they would have me 10 kinds of fucked up if they think I am walking into a storage unit for bcd fun Not because I am stuck up because I watch WAY to much Investigation Discovery and that just sounds way to sketchy for me.
I think honestly on the candle thing I would pass too. I own my incall and I can just imagine getting freaky and knocking a candle over :/
Personally I would love for a friend to bring his music or tell me what he prefers. Like someone said I probably wouldn't be able to hear after we get or even be paying attention.
I incall at hotels and at my private residence. I trade off. I have a gated community though and I let friends park in the garage...and I am low volume so that helps. I hear a lot of ladies talk about how bad it is but, I have been hobbying six years and only had one issue when it comes to my home and hobbying. I feel safer at my house. Not too mention I pity the person that tries and cause trouble. I have a 125 lbs rottweiler (while although isn't in the room but, it is in the house would not take well to me being hurt) and I have other forms of security here. I did although make a totally separate hobby room upstairs in an extra bedroom. It is necessary to have some personal space I think.
Tucson I will tell you how ladies get those rooms for that price (well me at least) PRICELINE! Once you get the hang of how to use it you can get bad ass hotels for cheap. I have had 4 star hotels here in town for $50. It all of course depends on what is going on in town.
Good idea Chopra I don't know why but, I have never thought about the crock pot. I think I will start doing that. A lot easier than having to run to the bathroom and wait for the water to get warm.
