ACL Coming Up...

Just got my ACL Tickets. Anyone else going this year? Gonna be an AWESOME lineup: Depeche Mode, The Cure, and a Ton of Awesome acts. Kind of going to have an 80's vibe going, at least with the headliners. The changes they made to concurrent weekends i think will make the crowds smaller and make the experience better.

I hope so, it got a little out of hand last year, I got caught in a hellacious human traffic jam when they put some suddenly popular act on the Austin Ventures stage and the crowd overflowed back into the concession area. My tickets are for the second weekend and there are still passes available, so I'm hoping that is a sign that the crowd will be a little smaller. I also need to do a better job this year planning my itinerary, I found I was doing too much walking and not enough listening last year. But there are some great acts, its going to be a fun challenge to squeeze them all in!

Ha. I think i was in that traffic jam too...couldn't move forward bodies getting pressed together, couldn't go back either. I think it was the lumineers. I heard they had closed off an exit point for that area. We got stuck in place in that spot for like 15 minutes until we escaped to the side somehow. That was realllllly bad planning whoever was responsible for that mess. I hope they don't have those kinds of probs this year.
