This hobby is supposed to be fun but the glaring truth is that one side of the fun is a business. Independent providers are regulated by their own self-preservation based on their own actions and no one else's. Capatilism at its finest!! It is a shame that more women don't do business on their own bc of either fear, loyalty or self-worth issues. At least if it were decriminalized their managers would be held accountable for how they treat their employees and how they treat their customers (ie misleading advertising, empty promises, robbing, cheating and steeling their way to the top).

Pimps are also what give this industry such a bad name. People whom know nothing about the business assume that all women have pimps or work for agencies. Several times handlers have gotten involved. One the handler brought a young lady to DFW and put her in a motel after taking her computer. I was under the impression I was emailing with the provider but no the handler was scheduling. The handler moved her every day from one motel to another. They would not let her have any money and she was stuck with no money and no computer. I bought her and her child tickets back home. When you don't know the provider you don't know who is on the other end of the phone or text message. A lot of good things were said from different people- there's a big difference between pimps/managers/boyfriends- I think what no man wants is a lady who has the pimp hiding in the closet or if she doesn't "make" a certain amount of money she gets beat- those scenarios I avoid like a plague. I mostly agree, but there is no need for regulation. The providers that want to succeed will provide good services, Others will fail. Anything else will fall under existing laws and regulations.

Making new laws just gives another politician more work. That is something we need nothing of.

I think without some form of regulation, you don't achieve one of the desired results of legalization: ridding the world of abusive managers. They won't automatically go away any more than they did before unionization (much as it is despised nowadays in conservative circles) transformed the factory floor.

All that is a pipe dream in any event. Decriminalization isn't even on the horizon, much less anything more than that.
