A couple of our local providers seem to have a problem with older men. I thought age discrimination was a thing of the past. What they don't seem to know it that most of us baby boomers are older men. We may not be able to perform as a young man would, but, our money spends the same. Wake up ladies. Doesn't bother me a bit. Providers have a right to refuse to see anyone they please, for any reason they articulate--or for no reason whatsoever. We all literally have skin in this game, so I say let's all play the way we feel the most safe. For some, that means a strict NBA policy, age limits, activity restrictions, or whatever else the given provider decides. In the end, $uperior-force$ might cause a given provider to re-evaluate and/or adjust her policies.

And consider the "reason" they articulate, may indeed have nothing to do with their true reason. (If you somehow remind a lady of her "funny uncle", doubtful she will tell you that is the reason she won't see you.) Believe it or not, I have had 2 providers in 7 years refuse to see me. I did not take it personal, nor did I push for an answer. To do so would simply make her uneasy and do nothing positive for either of us.

And then again, it might not. Not that you said this, but I find it humorous when men talk about "my money is just a good as the next guy's". While the hobby may be business, it is far from a standard business transaction.

If a lady has boundaries/limits/restrictions/preferences (who doesn't) I prefer to make no issue of it. She has every right. Just as we have every right to have our boundaries, limits, restrictions and preferences.

For some providers, money wins out over her gut feeling from whence the stated interest (if not her stated position) comes. For others, it's a no argument proposition. Maybe you do look like a creepy relative; maybe she just had an unpleasant experience in the past that you happen to remind her of. We joke about hobbyists thinking with their "little head" when someone from "our" side of the transaction overrides his intuition/reason/concern. When a provider gives you a "no, thank you"--just accept it and move along.
