Back Ground Checks

Wanting to find a legit background checking service. Not the scam ones that offer a check and want your credit card and then bill you monthly. Plenty of those around. I just want a one time check done from a legit service.
This is not for a check on anything hobby related. Just a personnel item.

It sounds like you're looking for a public records aggregator (a "background check" site such as been********).. They compile multiple resources to provide a (limited) check. If you want something completely free, most states and counties provide free criminal/sex offender search results through their government webpage. Or you could just bite the bullet and opt for a free trial membership at one of the big ones, then cancel it within the trial period. After all, if it's important enough for you to worry about this much, why shouldn't you spend the equivalent of an extra value meal each month to be able to run unlimited checks?
