Not a mod here, but you may want to check the South Texas or Houston forums.
Texas is divided in an interesting manner on this board. We have Austin, Houston, Dallas (which has separate areas for Dallas and FT Worth, depending on the subforum) and San Antonio as single metroplex area forums.
We then have the state divided into regional areas of South Texas, West Texas and "North and East" Texas.
We never had a Central Texas forum on ECCIE, and with the confusion over where do guys in Killeen post (we were posting in Austin, but the Austin ladies could care less about Killeen) where does Bryan and College Station post and where does Waco post brought me to petition the owners to create our own little forum...
So, if it is not in one of those 4 major Metroplexes (SA, DFW, Houston, Austin) you generally need to see what part of the State you are looking for (North and East, South, West).
