I have a friend that works for IRS and she said that its considered self employed, get a reciept book and write receipts, you dont have to hand them out but for your record and put it as a dancer or something. I was told the IRS doesnt give a fuck what you do as long as they get paid there taxes, and then file at the end of the year. I do know I am having issue getting an apartment cause I cant verify income but taxes on it is easy

the irs does not care where the money came from as long as you pay taxes on it. one other thing, its not illegal not to keep records but it is illegal to falsify them. perfectly legal to keep your records in ur head
