It's no secret that tear gas canisters can start a fire in a wooden structure. The Los Angeles police have used that tactic before. Recall in 1974 when six "SLA" terrorists died when the house they were using as their hideout caught fire from a tear gas canister. Dorner reaped what he sowed, imo.
