I've got news for you.
I couldn't listen to a 30 minute rant by Beyonce about not getting to give enough blow jobs to white guys in their late 50s in random trips to semi-conductor wafer fab parking lots.
OK. I lied. That particular rant is the only possible rant I could listen to that went past 5 minutes.
5 minutes is more than enough time to open, do some highlights, some lowlights, and everything in between. Send them into the streets to riot with a rousing finish about having to pry those legally bought Tech 9s out of his cold, dead hands.
Thanks for bringing this injustice to our attention.

Just contrasting how Odumbo, et al, reacted to a truly live performance versus a Memorex performance. Don’t get your panties in a wad. The whole day was nothing but political theater for the Kool Aid crowd. The real event took place on 20 January as dictated by the Constitution.

The reason she lip synced the Anthem so well is that is what she has the most training at. Compare her Song to the one Kelley Clarkson sang. Beyonces was perfect, not one missed beat, no sharp or flat spots, it started on key and never waivered. Kelley Clarkson's rendition was full of flaws.
But you can't compare the two in vocal prowness. I doubt Beyonce would even make it to Hollywood if she tried out for American Idol.
All of us remember her when she first broke onto thye scene with Destineys Child. She is an average vocalist who benfits from the wonders of modern recording and the computerized 'voice beefing" that is so prominant in the music industry.
But this is nothing new. In the 60's I went to see The Rightious Brothers at the old Houston Coloseum. The show was going great, and toward the end they did Bobby Hatfields solo number Unchained Melody. I marveled at how he could hit that note at the end, so clear and bright. But about 5 seconds after he finished, the sound engineer accidentally must have hit the wrong button, because suddenly the song started over. I was devastated. He had lip synced the whole damned song.
You could have dropped a pin in that place and heard it hit the floor. People literally got up and walked out.
So see, the more things change, the more they stay the same.

Sorry to burst your bubble but(t) (but) it all depends on the venue, the performance, the expected level of performance, the amount of creative control the artist has, etc. In other words, many factors.
And of course the biggest factor is are you sure she IS lip-syncing. When you run your TV's sound through a receiver it can put the audio and video out of sync by just a tad. Check it out during the Pro Bowl during the half time show, You can also get a "distance" out of sync. The best example I can think of is when you are watching video from a zoomed in camera and the sounds takes longer to get there than the picture (speed of sound vs. speed of light). During a golf tournament you see the club hit the ball well before you hear the club hit the ball. Tired of explaining it. Look it up. These are some examples. And they might truly be lip-syncing too.
Does Tom Petty even try for the high note in Refuge when singing it live? Of course not because he is a heavy weight in the industry, he is a gifted musician and live performer, and on top of all that it's his song and he can sing it any way he pleases. He might only go 2 for 4 on a note near the edge of his range in the studio. You think he is going to have you leave the concert with a fucked up note ringing in your head from one of his final encores? Or Robert Plant would? Or Steven Tyler? No, they make it a note they can hit every time.
You can't do that with the National Anthem. You have to hit those notes in the final "free"
It's obvious from most of your posts that you much prefer the types of articles, stories, and bloggs that are full of flaws as opposed to a polished and well prepared article. You seem to feel that taking the time for good commercial preparation and a mistake free delivery detract from the final product. Hmph. Go figure.
And while Kelley Clarkson is a very talented singer and performer (she sang at my niece's wedding up in Burleson @5-6 years before AI) she is no Madona, or Beyonce, or Whitney (pre Bobby Brown).
Just like very few running backs are in Adrian Peterson's league

There have been additional parts to the event for many terms. The Constitutional requirements are done one day, the ceremonial things on another day.
And contrasting how the douche-baggians feel their way is the only way something should be done and fuck anybody else.
The idea you can put this into the mix as a quantitative political factor when in reality it is just one more way you show how you, as an asshole, stand head and shoulders above the ordinary, everyday assholes.
I symbolically anoint you with the value size tube of Preparation H!
Long Live the Gaper!
Besides, if you took a poll of all the people involved, dems, reps, conserv, liberal, etc, I'd bet dollars to dimes that the majority prefer a memorx ceremonial performance.

It's not pissing and moaning; it's mockery and derision directed at the two fakers - Obama and Beyonce.
