Default cancel appointments

I know providers have schedules and your time is valuable. I try to be considerate and think about providers time and their fun like I hope they think about mine. Last week, I contacted a well known provider with good reviews, to schedule for today. We had everything set for when I returned home from a trip. We agreed I would contact her the day before I got hone to confirm and would meet at her location. Unfortunately, there was an injury to one of my employees and I couldn't get home as planned. The provider had texted me several times to confirm, asking for my reply. When I replied I was delayed for a couple of days, she got upset. Telling me I was unthoughtful of her time and had no respect for providers planning a meeting. She was mad i was delayed and couldn't get together as planned. I know she is very respected, a nice girl, and doesn't have anything negative about her. But, when something unexpected happens causing a cancellation or delay in meeting, I think mutual respect for each others time is warranted. I still think she's a good provider ans I understand her time is valuable, but our time is valuable too. Sadly, there are guys who abuse providers by jerking them around, last minute cancellations and other things. But, there are some providers who do the same things. That's why I stay with well respected, known for their good service, and with no negative reviews. I too, have several positive OK's thru P411, and always direct a provider to look at my P411 references. It's just sad when a well respected provider gets upset and rude, when I canceled a day before our meeting and she wouldn't reschedule for a few days later.

Meaning no disrespect to this provider, if she reads this, I just want to say her time is very valuable as is mine. I wont say anything bad or negative about her, as I understand why she was upset. If she does read this, I understand why your upset and yes, your time is valuable. But, as agreed, I did contact you the day before and explained there was an injury causing my delay. I wanted you to know this and and if we could reschedule. Nothing about disrespecting your time or my time, just that an unexpected delay caused a cancellation and wanted to reschedule.

The "delicate genius" episode of Sienfeld comes to mind reading this.

Things happen all the time in life. Life and business have changes in ship dates, cancellations, returns, etc. You did the polite thing and let her know a day ahead, and presumably tried to change the date to a different day.

So are you saying you didn't get in touch with her until after your booking was meant to take place? Because if that's the case, I'd be pretty pissed too...

If you gave her a day or two notice, then that's understandable, not ideal, but shit happens...

Canceling ahead of time is not a big deal...if you just didn't bother to reply to her messages regarding confirmation until days after scheduled meeting, then yeah, she probably thinks you're an ass.

You didnt do annything wrong if it was a full day before. Now if she wasnt local and she was touring to your location based on prebooks that would be much different.......

She's local, pretty well known, good reviews, I canceled a full day ahead and replied to her messages all a day ahead. Nothing, after the scheduled appointment. Meaning, everything was done on Sunday prior to Monday's appointment. As to scorpio77 gay award, you're probably one of those who jerk around providers and treat them like crap. I think if you treat a provider with respect, and nicely, everything works out for the best for everyone. I recently read a review where the guy really treated the provider nasty and with no respect, I asked her to meet me. Afterwards, she told she quit because of the first guy but would keep me UTR. There are benefits if you treat a provider with respect. Right girls?

Providers on one side and hobbyist on the other have to just understand if something happens. It does. RL happens.

There is no reason for people to get mad and upset. It will happen again .

Because touring providers rely on pre-bookings... It is far more expensive for touring providers with traveling/hotel costs...So last minute cancellations would not only make one miss out on money, but could potentially put one in the negative since flights/cars/hotels were already paid for... So what part of that don't you understand exactly?

If you have one of those jobs where things pop up last minute a lot, then do providers a favour and don't pre-book. Some of you really have no concept of how much a tour actually costs us... Yeah shit does happen, but it's attitudes like yours that piss me the fuck off.

The way I read it, she texted day before, got no reply, then you NCNS. After the fact you told her it was a work problem. If so - she should be pissed. You at least should have made it clear to her that if you can't confirm, assume that you cancelled.

I assume you are truthful and shit comes up with all of us from time to time. I always have an agreed upon confirm and tell provider if we don't confirm as agreed it is off, then I stick to it. I can't risk providers looking for me, texting, calling, etc.

All that being said. No big deal. Plenty of others for next time...and unless it is a famous tattoo free cheerleader she has already moved on as well.

I only travel places I can drive so I would view a cancellation in Baton Rouge the same as one in Houston. I pretty much see the same gentlemen over and over so if I miss seeing him for some reason, I will see him next time.

I find there is enough last minute requests to fill most vacated slots. I also don't think that hourly friends, touring or not, should be a ladies full book.

The OP has made it very clear that he notified the provider that he would be unable to make it a full day in advance of the scheduled appointment. With that being said, things do come up in life and these things will happen. If they do, it is only courteous to notify the provider as soon as possible. Sounds like the OP did his best.

In RL, we are faced with disappointments in business all the time. When I lose significant business, I'm very disappointed. I'm sure it's happened to most here. It's a way of life. The key is, handling disappointment in a positive way....it's not always easy.
