Just curious if any of our ladies were at the Dallas Safari Club convention on Friday. I was there all day and noticed that the number of gorgeous ladies was much higher this year than past years.

And it appears that the new fashion trend for ladies are thin knit stretch pants . . . there were a lot of them there.

I get emails sometimes from men on Eccie I've never met before if I was at such and such restaurant last Saturday night because he saw a tall beautiful Asian woman, or work at such and such place. I thought...even if it was me....why in the world would he think I would admit it???? Why would I want to out myself. Are they really that dumb? Or they think I'm that dumb? Duh!!!!

Second, I've never run into an escort at a public place, but it's gotta happen sometime. I assume we would probably be discreet then and there and not acknowledge that we know each other (that would certainly be my preference, in case my priest brother is there or some such), but -- and I ask this to Samantha as well as others -- what's the harm in following up later to confirm that indeed we were at the same place at the same time?

That's what I'm saying (or meant), Clouddancer -- make a mental note or observation of the public meeting and keep the rules of discretion, but follow up in private if desired. I see nothing wrong with that at all. Does anyone?

If we have seen each other on a date, then yes...it's ok to follow up later like "Hey, it was nice running into you at Starbucks this morning..what a nice surprise!".

But if we have never met on a date, and you see a woman that MAY look like me. I don't show my face, so you just ASSUME that this woman might be me then you send me a message saying..."Hey, I was at 24 Hour Fitness this morning and the girl at the front desk is a tall beautiful Asian woman...could that by any chance be you?".
THIS scenario is not appropriate. Why do you need to know if this stranger is me? (Pyramider would say...don't know. :-) And if it WAS me, I would never admit that it was. I wouldn't want a stranger guy know where I work and my personal info.

Wow! I guess I unintentionally opened a can of worms!!!

I see nothing wrong with a provider coming on the board and saying, " Yep, I was one of the beautiful ladies you saw!". In no way does it identify anyone . . . especially considering that there were thousands of people in the DSC show that day!

For anybody who was also confused as what the Dallas Sarfari Club was and was too lazy to google it. About the furthest thing from the AVNET convention. A better question may have been asking if anybody was interested in the Safari Club.
