Saw the same discussion in chicago. If you can't pay even fuckin $20 for valet/garage parking WTF are you doing in the hobby??!!
(Just make sure you don't drive a reeeallly nice car like a bentley or something cuz sometimes the valet fucks it up and brings the wrong car back - happened to me once EEEEK!)

Agreed ^^^^ . $7 bucks???? Whoa! And the $10 discount more than covers the parking , so being that its all cash, I couldn't imagine what the problem would be here. At least you knpw your car is safe and secured and not seen by the entire public surrounding. Good luck Brooke!

If the money is not due till you leave you could just hand the person leaving a Hamilton on the way out that way they wont be temped to use a creidt card for parking. I would talk with owner or managment company of the parking place and see if you could get some prepaid slips all you have to do is run it through the machine or parking attendant. We get a discounted rate for this at my office. Parking is 8 for a 2 hour limit but we get the prepaid slips for 4. We get a block of 100 hours at a time for that rate. If it 7 for the day I dont think you would have to deal with that. Make sure that they dont expire.

I've used these type of prepay parking lots before and seriously, it's the easiest form ever, as there is no one taking your money; you just look at the number on your space and put the $7.00 in the corresponding slot. I wouldn't try reserving the spot on a monthly basis Brooke, because I think that would draw undue attention to your guests.
I don't think it will be an issue with the gentlemen you see. :)

This is another sign of good customer service, way to go, Brooke. The $7 seems a relatively small issue to me so long as the client knows about it up front. For regulars, I like your idea of cutting $10 off the fee to compensate, and if you want to extend that to your new clients, it's a nice touch.
It WOULD be a bigger issue if it required a credit card or something, but I think you've addressed that issue nicely.

If you're covering the cost in the session, not a big deal.

Splendid thread. Most metropolitan cities are hurting for parking space and pay lots/garages are the norm, not the exception, so this is a valid concern. I agree with Lexie - I would not rent a permanent spot. Too many complications could ensue. The $7 fee is nothing, so, as has already been mentioned, anyone who has a problem with that doesn't need to be hobbying. This is luxury recreation, remember? Gentlemen, if you visit other professional establishments in similar locations, you usually won't get a break there. Brooke's being extraordinarily fair to even CONSIDER covering the cost. Paid parking is normal and to be expected in high-traffic areas where real estate is premium. A lot of restaurants are discontinuing their parking validation, too, another side effect of the cost of living increase passing down.
I have had to pay up to $30 plus tip to park in Houston while visiting gentlemen for outcalls downtown. Some reimbursed me, some gave me permission to bill it to their room if a hotel, but many just expected me to absorb it in my rates. If I can do that...... I say $7 is a deal. Not like you'll be paying it every day - will you? (If so, good for Brooke!)

as long as it is not some hidden cost. and if you gave me ten back in the meet and greet.....i would be cool with that. that means i can get a energy drink before i walk in and we break even.

Just keep a stack of $10's handy and as they leave tell them "parking is complementary" . Keep it simple

Only issue could be a guy not having anything under a $20. Even if you tell them they could end up only having $20's or higher. I would tell them about the $7 and a good place to buy a pack of gum for the change if they forget the smaller bills that is open during your hobby hours.
This means some of your appointments may not start on time but probably not a big deal. If there was an attendant with change this becomes a non-issue.
I've paid to park at hotels and not asked the provider to pay the fee back. I have even paid the valet fee for some dancers I take OTC to a hotel. It's not about money IMHO it is about convenience.
