I believe if you want full service, you pay full price. And I'm not talking about FS in the hobby sense but rather for any service industry. Like SL and Bush Pilot, I always confirm the rate before the meeting. However, it is a little disconcerning when varifying the donation, it's quoted higher than what was posted. This happened with a recent Dallas visitor and it was awkward canceling.
Kamilles, I would consider that kind of call a breach of ediquette and you should feel fine ending it. Oh, I think you are cute, too!

Vinny, Kamilles,
Sorry to see that you feel this way about San Antonio as a whole due to a few cheapies who likes to haggle. But these type of person exist in every city in the world. There r many of us have never even thought about negotiating but just confirming the rate so that the focus is on the fun time. That's hoobying to me. In fact, I find SA is a lot more friendly than most cities especially compared to metroplexes like LA or NYC.

Can't help but to feel a bit offended since I'm part of the SA community.

Yes, but with those you get the same room and the same service. Let's just say you have a favorite restaurant. When you go there you always leave an excellent tip while others are leaving a buck. Who do you think they are going to go out of their way to take care of, all the wait staff is going to want you in their area, or how about your mechanic, what if you are always bitching about the bill every time you have your car worked on. How excited are they going to be the next time you come in for service.
I've never had problems getting verified never had a NCNS.
