Blank, I suggest you look for a provider who states that she is "first time friendly." Not all providers are, which is understandable. But some are willing to work with you if you've never done this before. My personal approach is, and I know not everyone will agree with my method, but I always ask the first timer what he feels comfortable telling me, what informaton he's willing to give up in order for me to screen. If it's sufficiant, then great, problem solved. But if he still beats around the bush not wanting to prove he isn't LE then I make that known also.
It's kind of hard to screen without giving away atleast some information about yourself. Another thing you could do is go to a meet and greet, I think some providers do that. The one thing I tell first timers concerned with me screening them is to join P411. That way I don't have their direct informaton, and the screening is one and done. Meaning, once your screened your screened for good. Sorry if others already suggested all these things I admit I didn't read most of the posts in this thread like I should have. Anyway, Good Luck and play safe!

Thank you for the suggestions. It sounds like I was a little too eager and maybe a little naive. I'll get the hang of it though. Everyone has been really nice.

But, they are fun! I have only played within "safe circles" for get togethers. I suppose I am tempted to attend a large one, but I also know to keep my mouth shut to the police and to lawyer up if any accusation is claimed.

A far as P411, I am listed there, use it, and recommend it, however, P411 does not automatically get a gent in for an appointment with me.If he has the proper references, sure. Sometimes if he doesn't, I can get other info that will prove he is not LE and on to a good time...

Pyramider. I always ask up front if they are up for it. If the lady is willing to meet me for a drink for $50, then it's up to her. I obviously wouldn't have contacted her if I wasn't interested, so the $50 is for her time and to see if she is comfortable with me.

Best case, she gets a nice tip, worst case she got paid $50 to have a cup of coffee or a cosmo.

I personally don't do meet and greets, so I can't really speak for how they work exactly, but some providers do them and your right, extreme caution should be taken, like with anything else. It is just one thing a first timer could look into.

I can see where your coming from. However, some first timers have contacted me not willing to give ANY screening information. The only thing I can do at that point is suggest P411. It would be very risky for me to meet someone without references, who hasn't be screened.
