Default O vs O'

Obama by a very cool, calm and collected wide margin.

Wasn't a fair fight. In sports, those who can play, those who can't coach. In politics those who can lead, those who can't have talk shows.

Bill can be civil in an interview. Just see how nice he is to GWB.

I am not a big Obama fan, but that interview was easily the best impression that I have ever had of him. Bill (whom I am not a fan of either) definitely kept an edge to the interview especially with his side comments, but the way Obama dealt with it was very important.

O'Reilly asked the same question of George W. during his interview.

Galt please watch the damn interview....O'Reilly was practically blowing Bush, sat there and just let Bush ramble in his incoherent speaking patterns...He was practically foaming at the mouth with Obama...sitting on the edge of his chair waiting to pounce on him...Obama was relaxed, professional, and you could tell that O'Reilly was just trying to get him to lose it...

Obama came off looking great. I haven't seen the off-air portion.

Harry Truman believed that even if you did not like the man, you respected the office of the presidency. O'Reilly came off as an ass.

I haven't seen the interview yet. Did O'Reilly threaten to "do it live"? ha ha

From what I saw of the interview was that O'reily doesn't respcet Obama as much as he does Bush. Also, Bush has had more experience in handling guys like O'reily who want you to answer a question you either don't want to or simply want to avoid answering in a public forum. Often times this makes Bush look decisive and direct... however, the way Obama does it yeilds the same result yet people are more apt to say that he is "avoiding the question".

Another thing I noticed was that Bush is very good at correcting rudeness. O'Reily interrupted him a few times but Bush interrupted back and said things like "Let me finish talking," "let me get back to my point," "I'm not going to answer that," "if people want to know that they need to read my book." Those type of answers cut away some of the momentum. Obama is more prone to letting people gain that momentum because he's "polite" and not as abrupt as a Texan would be in the same situation and allows O'Reily to repeatedly bull through and interrupt him.

Also, after the fact O'Reily says that his opinion of Obama is that he is very "thin skinned" contrary to his statment in his interview. And that he thinks Obama really cares a lot about what people think of him. He also said that he believed Bush when he said he really didn't care what people though. Unfortunately, that statement contradicts what Bush clearly self describes was his all time low in his presidency of being called a racist. If he truely did not care what people thought and was thick skinned... Kanye West's opinion would not have made a difference.

Its been a traditon for the President to do an interview with what ever network is broadcasting the super bowl.

I think the fans who got thrown out of the stadium would call it the "super bowel."
