Unhappy Robbed of My Dignity...and my CONTACT INFO!!

This is meant
as an F.Y.I. for those of you who have my hobby number, or anyone who may have tried to get in contact with me in the last 24hours;

Last night I was the victim of a non- hobby related robbery. (A snatch and dash I believe) My wallet, with all my RW cards and such, along with what monies were in it were grabbed from my car as I pumped gas on my way home.

However, and far more upsetting for me, was the loss of my business phone. Thankfully I was able to LOCK AND WIPE it remotely within minutes of the theifs' departure. Unfortunately this means I have lost most of not all of my phone contacts. In the meantime I will still be booking appointments via PM and email for the next week or so while I try to remedy the situation.

Thankfully I was not physically hurt, only my pride and sense of common human decency is bruised. I try to be the sort of person who will help a stranger in that sort of desperate need, as are so many of my friends both in and out of the hobby, so I have trouble understanding the A$#@!€*$# sort of things people do without thought of how it might effect another.

On a lighter note; As I'll be looking for a phone these days (lol) ladies, is there any particular brand or model of smartphone you would recommend for hobby purposes? (Long battery life is really one of my biggest concerns. As are security features for recent obvious reasons.)

Mods, please move this if it is out of place, it did not seem to be a real "alert thread" as it was not about any eminent threat to hobby life.

Hope to hear from everyone soon,

Sorry to hear that. I have heard of this gas station snatch and grab, it was on the news. Bottom line, lock your car while you pump your gas.

So will you be getting a new/different phone number?

How sucky kitkat!

I love my iPhone but I basically have to keep it plugged in at all possible times if I'm using it to do anything at all. It's a shame it's that much of a pain to keep charged. However, if it was stolen, I'd have all the info saved on my iPad. So it's toss up I guess.

I use AT&T with a iPhone 5c, use it a lot don't have battery issues. Now I let it discharge and do a full charge.

I use the iCloud to save all my mail contacts calendar and photos. The iCloud gives you access from the iPhone, computer and iPad. So you won't loose them. Always password protect it so they don't get access.

Omg that sucks! So glad you are safe though! And also glad you were able to wipe all your info off of your phone. I would not have thought of that! Lol

Whatever you have seemed to work quite well, you were able to lock it and wipe it remotely, get whatever that was.

Meh, just a pain in the bum. I normally lock my car if I'm going inside to prepay or walking away for any reason, but unlocked it to put my purse back inside while pumping gas.

Fyi for tonight I can be reached thru AiyannaNeko (my doubles partner and sister from another mister. Lol) @ (210)426-8485

Kat. Though I am sure you feel violated that someone had the audacity to commit such a horrible act, I am glad to hear that you weren't hurt. Karma will eventually catch up with that person and something good will come up for a genuinely good person you seem like. Keep your chin up. Don't let someone question your faith in humanity. Always a couple bad apples that want to ruin the whole bunch. Please let me know if I could be of any help in meantime.

Not asking you to reveal any personal real world info but were police notified? Station management? Security camera available? Any effort to catch this lowlife may save another woman grief. Who knows what might have happened if you had tried to stop him.
