Soap Box Rambling
You know, when I go to a club or see an escort...I actually do my best to actually get to know these ladies. I'm not saying I know every little detail of their lives, but I would say that I do the best I can to show them just how much I care. For a lady to go out and put herself on the edge for all the world to see, requires a lot of trust...and straight courage...especially given the amount of freaks who like to kill for fun in this country. One thing that absolutely dumbfounds me, is how little respect there is for these women from the people that actually pay them money for what they do. Yes, a lot of these women have issues at home or in their past, but that doesn't mean that you have to be disrespectful to them. Its surprising to know that from me just listening to them, how much they actually enjoy sitting with me for little to no money at all. That tells me several things; it's not always about the money, and a lot of these ladies are nearly starving for attention from someone who won't talk to them like a douchebag would...which is pretty much a lot of the time. I'm sure a lot of the guys that read this are going to say that I am being used. I would say no, and lets be honest, that's what your whole intention is when you visit a lady or a club anyway, to use them. All I'm saying is, for Christ's sake, show some respect. You're no better than anyone else, especially if all you do is disrespect those that are trying to make it in life.

I agree but will add that respect is a two-way street.

Where are you going with all of this? Be respectful to all people at all times. It's a business for these ladies, nothing more.

Respect is indeed a 2-way street. But I was brought up to believe that the right thing to do is to always be a gentleman and show someone respect first.
It's not hard - just be pleasant and friendly. Don't be crass and rude. If my show of respect is reciprocated, I'll always be a gentleman.
If I'm disrespected after I've been nothing a complete gentleman then I no longer communicate with that person.
I tend to agree with Saintlist's sentiment. There are a number of hobbyists that do not show respect towards others and providers by default.
Unfortunately you will always get a percentage of disrespectful people in every group - with the hobby having a very high percentage.
Yes, we hobbyists as a whole should treat providers with respect, knowing they are people, not commodities. But on the flip side, most providers know there's more assholes they have to deal with than most and learn quickly how to spot an asshole and avoid dealing with them.
It's simple - be nice and show a provider respect and you'll get it back with great conversation and a great session you want to repeat. Don't treat her with respect and she'll more than likely never see you and tell all the ladies to not see you.

Yes, it is a business, you are correct. But as men we have an obligation to treat them to a higher standard than ourselves. I'm not saying these ladies are innocent, but neither are we. Its a little different for women, as they are the ones allowing you inside their body. That's a lot different, mentally and phyiscally than the penetrator. Unless of course we are talking about male anal, but it is still the same thing for that person as well. All I'm saying is this, respect and politeness goes a long way when getting someone to trust you. I'm afraid, a lot of guys on this board don't do that.

I hate to say it this way but I have always viewed comments implying that men should treat women to a higher standard than men to be disrespectful towards women. They should be treated as equals because thats what they are. Obviously men and women are different in many ways, but where the may be more vulnerable in one area they are much stronger in others.

I get the equality thing, but on the flip side, would you do their job if you were a woman? Or, let's say something a little different, would you treat a tunnel rat deep in VC territory in Vietnam the same as a desk jockey in Saigon? Would you rather be a tunnel rat, or a desk jockey during Tet 1968? She takes more risks than we do. I sure as hell think many times over whether I want to invite someone into my home, and she does it all the time. And no, women and men are not equal when it comes to sex. The entire act of penetration can be a very traumatic thing for a woman. Guys can always orgasm, and women don't always. If you weren't aware, the female orgasm is very much both mental and physical. So yeah, in that regard, we are not equal.

Hyperbole in examples gets you nowhere. Also, if you werent aware you are paying for their time and not sex. A rate significantly higher than I make per hour because she is taking more risks. She is also making a choice for her profession or side job. Even this response just looks like pity towards someone lesser to me.

And while respect should be given from both sides, I'm of the belief that, in many cases, if not most, and I don't think this hobby world is any different, respect should be earned and not just given unconditionally or carte blanche.

I guess might have a different experience with the girls though since I am so damn good looking and give the girls multiple orgasms. So while if a girl decides she wants to play with me I may enter her, but she may be riding me.

I once took a golf class in college. The instructor told us this, Drive for the show, putt for the dough. What he means is, swinging the big stick may get you there, but if you can't concentrate on the curves of the green...you ain't getting shit.

How did your ball end up 14 yards behind the tee box?

Of all your posts in this thread, this is the only one that makes any sense to me.
