Every since I have been an ECCIE member I have been hearing the praises and benefits of seeing Verified Providers. I have somewhat tried to follow this advice.

In last last month and a half I have try to make arrangements to see four VPs.

The first time I made an apportionment for two hours later and within 30 minutes after making the appointment she canceled.

The second time I made an appointment and as time got nearer I attempted to confirm. 12 minutes before the scheduled appointment I got a text to cancel.

The 3rd time after going through the screening process and providing 2 references. The lady decided to leave town a day early due to lack of interest from the local members.

Most recently I made an appointment hours ahead of time. I agreed to the time that was convenient for her due to travel time. It was not until 30 minutes before the scheduled time when I text her to confirm the appointment she cancelled. All time knowing she was 2 hours away in another city and had yet to depart.

There might be something your doing that makes them uncomfortable.... If that many providers have canceled on you... Maybe change your approach.... You can always come back and see me!!!! Kisses

You either do PM or get on P411 and make session request. It is not like upgrading Cisco 2911 where I have to install memory, PVM card, VIC card, Wireless 4G card with antennas. Then, I have to cross-connect the phone numbers, and do 10 test calls. I have to Wireless survey with 15 speed tests. Plus, get it all done before the retail store opens.

I fully understand your delimma! I have had it happen a couple of times myself - once with a renown top provider. It can really be frustrating. I am sure all of the providers experience the same thing.

Be sure to find out if yhe provider would rather converse by PM or text. I missed out on an excellent opportunity while traveling by attempting to PM. The provider only checked her PMs once every couple of weeks. I ended up with a real dud that showed up 5 hr late (3:00 am)!

We can all understand short delays due to traffic and unfamiliarity with the area, but a no show wrecks everyone's schedules. I recommend when this happens post in the Men's Lounge so we know who has poor TCB skills. If they are hit in the pocketbook they will clean up their act. Of course we need to be courteous as well.

One other thing that can help no shows is a safe location. I actually left once shortly after arriving because things just did not appear right. PM for details.

THAT REALLY SUCKS DOLL....
As a traveling Lady my self I will say this, You do tend to be more un orgonized than at your home location your taking calls while driving your stopping for gas texting back everyone then when you get to your location you have no ide if it was the 3rd caller or the 6th caller that made your 12.. Was it the call before mom called about your kid is crying or after? Was that the guy that made me feel uncomfortable or is that the sweet one? SO Before your know it your cancelling the wrong one or double books or something ALSO..When a town is not showing you love you DO PACK UP AND GO especially when the hotels are $200 a night........Hopefully your in order to send tham a message that you left.... BUT.. I AM GUILTY JUST YESTERDAY OF DOING THAT! SORRY ROSWELL NM.... I had planned to be there today I had 2 confirm pre=book for this afternoon and tomorrow. But after having 33 calls from a city I have lots of regulars I decided to go where I know. So I took down all my ads for NM and came here. Most of the way I had no service as soon as I get here I have back to back I get to bed at 1 in the morning check my email and ooops there is a guy for tomorrow wanting to know where my ad had gone to.... YEP OOPS I for got to let my 2 know trip is on back burner,,,ANd sad to say I have searched and search and can not seem to find the other one to let him know in your mind you are like did he text call email pm or p411? GOT TO CHECK THEM ALL........
SO BEING VP DOES NOT MEAN WE ARE MORE DILIGENT IN OUR BUSINESS DEALING....It means basically if we screw you over or cause you harm in anyway we get booted off the community and loose all the fantastic benefits to this site.. Just like you being a active member on here doesn't garentee us that your not an asshole , or clean or wont stand us up with a no call no show... ATLEAST they all cancelled sorry for the 1 that waited just 30 minutes before hand... But trying to leave town pack GET A FREAKING SITTER make sure oil and gas is in ca,r rooms are reserved yeah that guy that called wanting 3 may not come on your mind till 230..OH SHIT I NEED TO CALL HIM......DOES NOT MAKE IT RIGHT and this thread will make me more mindful of being a better business woman I hope it gets better for ya doll..........

I never make advance bookings because every time I've done it in the past my appointment was either cancelled or they were a no show. 9 time out of 10 when I've contacted a provider who said they need several hours to a days notice I've seen them within an hour.

This. I can't count how many times I "pre-booked" only for the lady to cancel due to low interest. Or pre-booked and had a date/time set up only to have it canceled 10-15 min before time or no return of my call. What ticks me off is I have a hour drive to these appointments (in Las Cruces traveling to El Paso). I let the ladies know when booking that I have to travel and even call and let them know I when I am leaving so they can expect me (appointment at 7 so will call 5:45-6 to let them know I am on my way and be there in about an hour). Then I get to town and get a call saying something came up...figure another client that called and they tried to squeeze them in before me or who knows what. Or they just don't answer when I call that I am in the area for the final location info. Always seems to happen pre-booking before a lady gets to town so now I set up an appointment AFTER they are in town.

Wow. I always pre book days or sometimes weeks in advance. I can only remember one time when she PM'd me that she had changed plans and was not coming to El Paso after - and she was telling me more than a week in advance. I have had nothing but professional and timely appointments with great ladies on ECCIE - same when I am traveling. But I also PM to reconfirm time and date, but don't know if that makes a difference.
Now BP is another matter and I try to completely avoid that now. It is a hopeless mess.

My experience is very similar to what Blue Moon Man explains.
When/if a VP cancels on me once, I gladly reschedule. The second time she cancels the same appointment, I move on. (exceptions granted for ladies I know well) Most VPs have the same rule for gents.

TXNikki (Lubbock) on two occasions canceled on me at the last minute after prebooking. They never get the chance to make it three times.

I've also had the same experience as Blue, I don't book so far in advance but I do let the ladies know I'm interested in seeing them.

I've only had 1 provider flake on me, she said she'd be in town on a Monday, I scheduled for that day, when I texted her the day of the date she said we'd have to reschedule for the next day as she wasn't in town yet. I text back asking what time was good for her and she never replied. She read the message and didnt even have the decency to cancel.

I'm an understanding guy but if you read the message amd don't even bother to reply with a "fuck you" then your done my book.

Knowing the lady very well that was not done by her lightly. She is one of the more dependable ones out there. But, we all have personal issues that come up and they are usually not planned or avoidable,

I'll be accused of being a WK for Nikki and for agreeing with CK, but what the hell... here goes. Nikki is VERY reliable and trustworthy. If she cancelled, it was very likely for very good reason.
