I was very much aware that p411 had this highly suggested rule about providers checking ids to help insure the person the provider met was indeed the person in session. Which of course I have no issues with.

But honestly out of all the times I have hobbied.....I have only been asked once.

So if this is a necessary safeguard ....to check identification cards in addition to having numerous provider references.....how often and which providers are checking here locally? Are there any hobbyist here who are opposed to getting there id checked in this case? And why if so.

The only reason I might negate showing my id would be the duct tape I'd have to put over all info besides "john-11-A-1111" in my client id.
But then I asked myself...if I have references and dont want to subject myself to an id check....why not just have her call and email refs instead of being dependent on my ok's accummulated?

As with most things in life lately, it only takes a few idiots with the what-can-I-get-for-free mindset or just plain mean spirited jerks to make things difficult for the people who try to do the right thing and just want to have fun and enjoy themselves with as little hassle as possible.

I would not be offended if I was id'd. as long as it was a well known lady with plenty of reviews and no arrest records lol. i wouldn't want to toft it

Makes sense to me. I check ID for people I've never seen before and who've posted no reviews. All newbies should certainly be ID'd for safety reasons, I think.

The whole world has my I.D...... your's too.

I can't really remember the last time I ever gave my complete I.D. to an escort.... if ever.
P411 didn't even get it.... didn't ask for it!!

The fact that our I.D. might lay in someone's records.... means what?

Too much paranoia, in my opinion!!

The only time I have ever been ID'd was when I had a lady who stipulated she only saw guys over 30 thought I looked too young and thought I had either lied to her or wasn't who she thought I was. One quick ID check )with my hand strategically placed over my name) and we were on with the session. Generally, if my references and P411 aren't enough to put a lady at ease, I just move on to someone else. I rarely supply any "real world" info outside of my cell number.

First of all, Vitter is a bit of a dumbass to supply his real cell number instead of his hobby phone. I've been a lot more discreet lately(still hobbying, but not reviewing nearly as much) just to maintain my own peace of mind. There are plenty of guys who have been around for a while who have enough of a reputation that don't need to supply much sensitive info to get an appointment. Stavin, I'm sure you haven't needed to do too much in the way of painful screening either. Most of the time if I contact someone from the board, they already have some idea who I am and just need confirmation that I'm legit(PM from my profile). Other than that P411 works. It doesn't grant anyone "celebrity" status.

Some on here may be private business owners and could care less whos hands their I.D. falls in, but if you are a professional in certain industries the last thing you can afford is for your identity to fall into the wrong hands.Usually reviews on boards like this serve as a screening element for the dawgs, because usually someone TOFTT reports back yay/nay and the dog knows whats up, even though thats no gaurantee against a YMMV or a provider having a bad day at the beach so to speak and a dawg catching a bad round on his dime. This whole hobby is full of risks, and I can understand a reasonable level of caution on the providers part to feel a dawg out, but just as mentioned who knows what s goning to happen and all of sudden a dawgs real name and info. is in the hands of LE.

I believe if you have enough OK's on P411 and use a board like this one you wouldn't have a problem unless you are a newbie. I have been asked for business cards and identification. But, it has been few and far between. I view it as the cost of doing business. If a client is concerned, then maybe they should be in another business. at some point there must be a level of trust on both ends........I'm just saying!

EXACTLY!! This is purely, a newbie issue.
I have never been asked... but if I really wanted to see a girl who asked for the minumum P411 I.D. Check, as according to the P411 guidelines.... (first name + (4) numbers).... I can't imagine bitching about it.... if I had already agreed to enjoy the other benefits of P411 in the first place!! To complain about the policy of a website that one chooses to join, just sounds ridiculous, to me!!

More times than not.... you're dealing with an above average girl, when dealing with P411. If you're not comfortable with the arrangement.... don't play.... simple as that!! It's not like the girl is ever going to scan your I.D. upon arrival.... it's a glance at a first name & 4 numbers.... if it ever happens at all!! This is not rocket science!!

S.O.S...... who's safety is more valuable? I think we all agree..... mine!!

I'm a big fan of P411. But if that's not enough for the provider, then I walk.

I'm just making the point that if you're too quick and easy about showing some ID, it may come back to burn your ass in the future.
