Outspoken much? Too much? Why or why not?
Do opinionated women with half a brain really scare some guys off? Even companions?
If so, why? Is it annoying? Do they come across as know it all bitches?
Someone once told me they were scared to see me, because they thought I was smart. Really? I am not dumb, but I am damn sure not a rocket scientist!
Do you guys really wish we or maybe just me.... should shut the hell up?!

I get a lot of I wanted to meet ou because you seem smart, etc. But then, we spend 5 to 10 min talking and that's the end of that. Unless they are going for the full dinner and dessert package, not sure why it would matter either way. You know? Precious little is spent conversing, I have found.

Ladies;
I am happy to see you posting and taking a part in discussions.(Flirting helps too)
While I would rather not read a novel in the posts. I do like to learn more about things I know nothing about.
Thank all the Ladies for being here.

I wasn't offended, Knotty. Even if I were, I did ask for it!
I just don't understand why that would sway someone not to see a companion. Civilian women- I can see that, but providers. Really?

I've always had a bit of trouble shutting-up when I read opinions that either counter or mirror mine and seeing as this is a realm where I have plenty of opinions, I get chatty. That being said, I am actually a pussy cat in person and in almost every circumstance, I'm as agreeable as it gets -- I'm a people-pleaser (a push-over for you grumpy pessimists out there).
And in my experiences here (and in other hobby-worlds) I've found that I do see many men who book with me partly because I can write a complete sentence, converse about a range of loftier topics, and can craft a decent joke or two. Sure, at times I let out the dirty hippie, feminist part of me and that certainly turns a certain type of man off, but I think that for every potential client or fan I lose, I attract another. Obviously it's impossible to know the true numbers, but at the end of the day I'd rather be spending time with men who are attracted to my mind just as much as the other parts.
A lot of men might say that they could care less how intelligent a provider is, but it's what kept roughly 80% of my regulars coming back and lead to multi-hour bookings, off-site dates, and it also lead to a handful of meaningful friendships. So yes, I think being intelligent and outspoken does have an impact, and a net positive impact at that.

See, there ya go, Annef! That gave me an idea! All they have to do is put something in our mouths, so we don't try and say something smart! Hehe

I am like you, Jenn, in that I am very easy going in person. I am just very expressive thru writing. And I never said they'd shut me up! Just that I want to know the why's Hehe

And yeah...getting shut-up can be a hell of a lot of fun when things get too heated -- I think I might have a Republican fetish.

Just to chime in, I am rather mystified by someone being "turned off" by an intelligent woman (provider or civilian). I find it very attractive myself. I think that you do need to separate out "intelligent" from "opinionated/argumentative" though. I very much enjoy intelligent (and creative) provider posts, and knowing that there is some grey matter at work is only a turn on. But, by the same token, if I read a post where it comes across as highly opinionated to the point of "this is my view, kiss my ass if you don't like it" (no real world examples come to mind at the moment), I do find that to be a turn off. My thought on that is I can get plenty of arguments from civilian women...why would I pay for one.
Just my 2 cents.

Oh, I'm always the one who shuts up.
I am ridiculously submissive sexually. BUT I also understand and embrace the powers that I hold as a sub. I could go on and on about the details of those powers, but that's another topic all together. I've only been sexually active for about 8-9 years, though, so I'm super curious to see if I'll ever make the turn to being a decent Domme. I guess I'll just have to wait and see... =)
