amongst speculators, Soros is known as "The Palindrome" (since the word soros is not only an esperanto word and a hungarian word, but also a true palindrome). this is what i understand.

what i don't get is, why he should be "Hungarian Communist"... it simply makes no sense.

Maybe it's because some here cannot accept that the duo -- "The Palindrome" and Stanley Druckenmiller -- pounded the british pound.

Begging your pardon, it wasn't Hungarian, it was Yugoslavian. A good friend of mine was there at the time. He then went to France where he broke their monetary laws and was asked to leave. From there to the USA.

He wasn't a billionaire all that time.

Hungary was at that time part of the Eastern Bloc, while Yugoslavia was not. To defect from Hungary was easier than to defect from Soviet Union, but it still involved many tricks.

One trick was going to Yugoslavia first, but you still needed permission and visa for that. Hence you had to pose as socialist/communist.

Also there were certain esperanto conferences which were attended by both the Soros familiy and Josip Tito.

However none of the actions taken by The Palindrome show that he is or was a communist.

My friends have their facts wrong. Having done some investigation: Soros was born Schwartz in Budapest. His father changed the family name to hide from the Nazi's. George was sent to a gentile family friend to be passed off as a God son. During that time, he confiscated Jewish possesions and ratted out Jew to the Nazi's.
He admitted this and stated that he had no regrets about it in a 60 Minutes interview conducted by Steve Kroft, 20 Dec 1998:

JB, All that linked proved was that Soros was a 14 year old kid during the war. Your hatred of progressives is tainting you abality to be objective.

No question I thoroughly detest Progressive for the danger they present to our Republic. I don't try to hide that. But that's another book or two. Soros is evil on some many fronts that it would take books to list them all.
