Wink Judging a Book by its cover

Well I am the type of guy who only looks at the covers and pretty much makes an opinion from there. Well with this particular book I had already formed my opinion and put it back. Well I happened to run across this same book and took the time to open it. I was able to read a couple of pages and I am very intrigued. This particular book has made me really re-evaluate my thought process . It seems some hobbiest have read this book and providers either knows or have heard about this particular book

I look forward to planning a date to read it from page to page. I suspect the reading will be hot and heavy for about hour

I wonder if other hobbiest and providers have only looked at a book cover, take a quick snap judgement and put it back. Only to pick up that same book and do a quick read thru some pages and had an happy outcome of course the opposite can happen

As a life-long learner, I have always believed that people are just like books. For this reason, I highly enjoy sitting down with people and hearing their stories, their perspectives.

Here I have created a list for you. Guess which one I am. Which one are you?

The Encyclopedia- insightful, well-read, very rounded.
The Comic Book- fun to be around, is light-hearted about life.
The Romance Novel- full of passion, hopeless romantic.
The Leisure Book- enjoys relaxation and not stressing about life.
The Book of Adventures- always experiencing new adventures.
The Porn Magazine- very sexual and basically only fulfills that need. lol
The Library- a combination of various books....fun, insightful, romantic, sexual and pleasant to be around.

What a great post!

You know, if more guys adopted this attitude, there would be much happier hobbying going on. Unfortunately, the ones who need to get the message, are so narrow-minded that they are going to miss the point. I think this is just one of those things that comes with maturity. Good for you!!!

You just never know; one book that you thought you would never like, might just turn into a series that you get totally hooked on. Have a great time, and best wishes!

that's the ting about quick evaluations.
sometimes they are correct. sometimes they arent.

and that's why we guys [and women] have control over what books we read.
and while i will check out reviews of the same book and perhaps base part of my decision on them,
i sure dont want others telling me what i should and should not read.

and let me tell you, i've got lots of autographed first edition books in my library!

I have a feeling that after reading the OP's post, that a lot of women are going to want to screw a particular someone!

Agreed. Wonderful topic!

Ah yes the neverending question how to view books. I will say this if more gents did a quick scan of pages not necessarily reading the entire books I wonder how many alerts would we really have

I also think that if more ladies adopted this attitude in real life, I wouldn't have to be on this board.

Feeling I'm a little of:

The Romance Novel- full of passion, hopeless romantic. w/ a hint of The Encyclopedia- insightful, well-read, very rounded.

Being a giver… allows me to be open to all story lines as long as no one is being hurt… As long as all are able to read between each line and know that our endings are always happy..
