When I am broke, tell my wife.....she can then divorce me.......sue Adelle......get my money back........re-marry me.

I'm liking this.....................becau se Adelle is fucking hot........I'm just saying.

Sorry dh, you have to move because Texas does not recognize Alienation of Affection. There are only a few states that allow that kinda claim,

I agree...sheesh. If she was making him happy, he wouldn't be "cheating"...

I guess it's a good thing Tiger doesn't live in NC.

Could be a class action.

Also wonder whether WTF's left hand has a cause of action against his right?

Does Adelle count as a pre-existing condition?

.
Let me get this straight .....you think your wife would remarry you after she divorced you because you spent all your money on a far sighted goat that your ex wife then had to recover and now your ex wife has all the money you once had and wants to remarry you?

That Taco Bell food got you jacked in the head.

My left hand has never cheated on my right hand. I wouldn't have a leg to stand on.

Anytime I've had a run in with a wife (never over a man I was seeing, I mean they've gotten themselves caught but the women didn't bother contacting me), I've pointed out that the mistress isn't getting in the way of the marriage - the man is likely out there looking.

If it's the only way the affair is going to happen, they'll take off the ring and lie.

So maybe they should look into their relationship, instead of hunt down mistresses.

This sparked a memory: I remember once working the phones at a Toronto agency, I was 18/19 at the time. A man had called asking me a bunch of questions about a lady he was interested in seeing, including is she "full service" then abruptly hung up. Seconds later the phone rings again from the same number, and it's a woman:

"Is this a whore house?" she hollered into the phone, "What the hell is full service?"

"I think you should be talking to your husband," I replied, "I have nothing to say to you." She hung up and we never heard from her again. I'm not sure I handled it right or wrong, but I didn't know what else to say.

I am not sure the legal concepts behind "alienation of affection", except that I can certainly understand the words, and the high level concept trying to be addressed.

But I would think that part of the argument needed in the courtroom would center around the actions of the mistress that "caused" the offending spouse's wayward move.

It would seem to just beg for an argument relating to the actions of the offended spouse, that contributed to such wayward move.

Anybody here from one of those states, know how this stuff goes?

Alienation of Affection is only actionable in 7 states. The aggrieved spouse must be able to prove that the mistress/gentleman caller knew that the person was married and pursued a relationship with the married party regardless. Key word here is relationship.

Since in P4P nothing happens without the client pursuing the mistress and generally long term relationships are not the norm-- I don't believe there would be cause for action.

If it means the difference between being sued for 9 million or not---

I'll take whichever option allows me to hang on to my retirement fund.
