Give out Phone number to Serv.Providers

What is the safest way to give out phone number to Service Providers :

1. Ask Serv.Providers number and text them
2. Send via PM seems to be not a good idea ???
3. Email the phone number

I would think would be better not to associate Handle with phone number within ECCIE (PM would do that ) ???

All your methods are good. The hobby is a risk so keep that in mind at all times, however as bbkid pointed out you might want to get a hobby phone to reduce the risk of an SO seeing what she shouldn't.
