If it were me I'd head up to the mountains to the crest or maybe ride the tram. There's a really happening micro-brewery scene if you are into that. Downtown and the UNM area get hopping, but downtown is a little dangerous. But most important, based on your reviews, you need to some appointments with the local hobbyists!
