Witness Robert Costello to Trump Grand Jury...Cohen is a "convicted perjurer, serial liar and will do anything to stay out of jail""!!
Witness Robert Costello's Testimony to Trump Grand Jury Should Sink the Case

As we reported on Sunday, the Trump indictment that has been reported wasn’t quite a done deal yet, as there was one more witness they had to hear from on Monday – Robert Costello. Costello is the former legal adviser for Michael Cohen. Cohen is one of the two key witnesses in the case, along with Stormy Daniels. Both have serious credibility issues.
Costello’s testimony further decimated any case that the Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg may have thought he ever had.
Costello said that Michael Cohen has “far from solid evidence.” Costello said he used to be Deputy Chief in the Criminal Division of the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York, so he would know. Costello said he “never would have touched a guy” like Cohen (as a witness) because he was a convicted perjurer. Not to mention all the other lies that he told them that are in the emails that were being discussed, Costello said.
Costello ripped Cohen as a liar. “There can be no doubt in anyone’s mind that Michael Cohen has great difficulty telling the truth,” Costello said. “He is, after all a convicted perjurer, and our track record with Mr. Cohen convinced us that he was a serial liar.”
Costello said that the prosecution wanted to ask him limited questions about six emails but that he managed to force the fact that Cohen said he hadn’t told Trump he made the payments to Stormy Daniels into an answer, presumably because the prosecution didn’t want the grand jury to hear it. But it sounds like he did get it in there.
Costello also told Tucker Carlson what Michael Cohen said about doing anything he had to, to stay out of jail.
He explained Cohen said he hadn’t waived the attorney-client privilege. Costello then pulled out his waiver and said, “Is this the kind of witness you want to ride to the finish line?” just completely doing Cohen in.
Trump not knowing about the payment is one more thing that should end this case if this wasn’t a completely political effort. It’s one of the reasons it never should have been pursued, to begin with. So we’ll have to see if the New York bias and the DA’s persuasion prevail, or whether the truth wins out. Costello did say that some of the members of the grand jury seemed to be getting it and as a former Deputy Chief he might have some experience to assess that. But it’s clear, given what Costello said, that Bragg’s office isn’t particularly interested in showing the truth to the grand jury.
As we’ve reported, this is just the latest problem in the case. As federal prosecutors and the FEC, both had previously declined to pursue any actions against Trump. Even Bragg when he first came into office had refused to proceed. We only see the case now that we’re approaching 2024 with Trump as a declared candidate. Given all the problems in the case, it’s clear that it’s just a shameful political effort to try to do in Trump. They’re trying to throw everything they can at him to try to incapacitate him

So a lawyer that works for Trump has some truth about another lawyer for trump. Lol. That’s rich. How many trump lawyers have lost their licenses? What are we at so far 6. They all lie, for trump. I’m sure Bragg has some corroborating evidence.
So will they cuff Trump. Can’t wait until his arraignment. And for ads to feature his mug shot. Then several more indictments will come down and it’ll play out over again.

For all you lefts that have trouble reading, let me give you the cliff notes version here...
".. the fact that Cohen said he hadn’t told Trump he made the payments to Stormy Daniels..."
Cohen made the payment without Trumps knowledge and admitted so.

We shall see whom a jury believes. You do know that when someone commits a crime they always lie and say they didn’t. It’s generally when that lie is proven to be so, that they come back and admit the truth.
I’m 100000% sure that’s what he will say he’s doing now. Also, he didn’t actually have the money to pay Daniels, he had to take out a second mortgage to do so. Would anyone do that on the “hope” they’ll get reimbursed later. And then when Trump was gonna stiff him, Costello was told by Gulianne who was supposedly told by Trump to let Cohen know they could work this out.
Now was it Costello or Gulianne that was lying on Trump or was there some other plan ongoing. It may be less simple than you want to claim it is. And there may be far more conversations. Didn’t Cohen record some conversations. Maybe there’s something there that corroborates his version.
Ultimately, we will see. If Bragg thinks he can win his case and win over a grand jury, he must believe he has something.

Disclaimer: I'm not a lawyer and I do not play one on the internets. My Spidey senses say: it doesn't seem like a well thought out strategy to call as your star witness a convicted Felon, who was convicted for perjury in the base case in the first place.
Maybe it's one of those 5-D chess moves, but uhmmm... likely not.

Well... that's awak-weird...
Should be an interesting dialog when the defense introduces their first two witnesses.
Team Trump Lawyrers (TTL): Your honor we would like to present two witnesses
Da Judge: Who are they, what is their testimony and why is it relevant?
TTL: The first is: Robert Costello, Michael Cohen’s former legal advisor, he will testify to the following points:
- Trump NEVER directed Michael Cohen to pay Stormy Daniels
- Michael Cohen is a “convicted perjurer” sentenced to 3 years
- Michael Cohen is far from solid evidence and was disbarred for his perjury
TTL: The second is Lanny Davis, he will testify that that Cohen has no evidence that Trump directed him to pay Stormy Daniels
Da Judge: And both of these witnesses are Mr Cohen's former legal advisors?
TTL: Yes your Honor
Da Judge: Case dismissed with prejudice
5-D chess sure has some weird pitfalls. Happy hour time

The DA is the boss. He’s an elected official that makes the final determination of who gets indicted. And he never said Tuesday. That was Trump that made up that date.

Redstate publishes daily propaganda supporting former President Trump, with little regard for facts.
All stories favor the right and denigrate the left with extremely loaded emotional language.
