They are a 100% legit shop and give about the best deep tissue massage around. They run everything above board including charging taxes. So the tip was about 5bucks. Lol. The owners and staff are very professional and skilled at massage. I go at least once a month or more. Highly recommended for actual massage therapy.

TBone, thanks … been looking to find a good deep-tissue place since I’ve been in ABQ. I’ll be checking out this place for sure!

Sorry about the OP’s visit … musta been awkward for all, although I’d guess they run into that a lot there. Should probably hang some signs to set expectations at the door.

Placidity is another option for a great massage and the possibility of HE. The massage is better at Desert Dream but no HE available at all. Carrie at Placidity is really good.

Agree with Placidity. Used to be my go-to. One issue there is they know me, so go straight to HE without discussion. A pro and con. Sometimes I just really want massage, nothing more. Haven’t been there in many months. My last visit I got Summer for the first time. She starts on HE then says, times up, Jacks for more time. Jacks to bring out the sista’s. Nickel and dimed me to death. Yea, she got a few extra bucks outta that visit, but it’s been a good 6-months and I’m not sure I’ll ever go back. Shame though, cause May never treated me like that. Not sure which one Carrie is, but both give #1 massage in the city. An extra couple Jacks has cost them damn near a grand. Guess we can’t ALL be brain surgeons.

Went to Desert Dream Massage Therapy yesterday. Great massage. Not as good as Placidity, but a close second place. I’ll be a regular there for sure. Place was CLEARLY legit, knew as soon as I walked in (actually the use of “Therapy” on the sign outside had already made it clear to me). Bunch of staff, all wearing scrubs. It was crystal clear.

Will try HE as well. Seen that place before, but always assumed HE stood for, well, you know. Odd name for a legit massage place.
