I saw the interview

she was circumspect in her words

she did say the dims were in a cult

but she had scant praise for republicans

in fact the impression I got was that her criticism of the dims was meant to wake them up to agree with her, while I felt she held no hope for the conservatives

her position seemed to be that the dims were in a cult as they are great at circling the wagons and that they protect donors no matter their misogyny and predations- but everything else shes ok with

She's not wrong. There's a big problem with tribalism now, and it's the mainstream media outlets that are largely responsible for it.

The right has it's faults, but the left is downright frightening and are everything they claim not to be.
1. Cancel culture - don't think like we do? We'll destroy you.
2. Big tech/social media - don't think like we do? We'll silence you and/or cut you off from electronic society. And destroy your career too, if we're triggered enough.
3. Law enforcement/defense - ignore real threats to Americans and even egg shooters on in some cases (Boston Bombers, Garland Draw Mohammed shooter, Parkland Shooter, Antifa, many burning cities) but chase after Right Wing Domestic Terrorism ghosts.

Sadly, with cancel culture and big tech and the social media giants we're not too far off from China's Social Credit system. It seems like each day we inch closer and closer to it. And how many idiots are part of it, or cheer it on. If history tells us anything, it's all OK for the useful idiots until they're not needed anymore.
