Different strokes for different folks.

Nobody should white knight simply because someone's taste runs a different direction. (That being said, correcting false objective claims instead of subjective claims with which you simply disagree is not white knighting imo) I've had a few bad encounters with popular ladies and just avoided the review because the problem was my taste rather than anything they did wrongly. Couldn't give a yes, felt that a no was unjust. It is what it is.

Anyone making decisions based on simple yeses and noes is gonna have a bad time. You have to look at why those recommendations are given.
