Thumbs up CALCULATOR for how long your T.P. will last in Quarantine.

https://howmuchtoiletpaper.com/

Calculate it for a 14 day quarantine (adjust the length of time under advanced)
and let us know the results of your T.P. situation.

Using the ADVANCED OPTIONS...I normally buy SCOTT 1000 tissue rolls, my stash will last:
You will last 398 days
or 2843% of your quarantine

Well it's not a large stash. Just regular amount I normally buy. I use Scott 1000 sheets...which means they last longer. I can't help it some people choose to waste money on the puffier/softer toilet paper which is worse for the septic tanks and thus, they end up using more when they wipe than necessary because they forget it's thicker and don't realize they took more squares than is really needed or necessary.

I will never get to the point of Jamie Gertz off Seinfeld
where she couldn't "spare a square" for Elaine.

I'd be willing to help out if need be.

Nor am I like Elaine....hoarding or stealing like below:

I also have a large amount of "magazines"...so if I run out of paper,
I will certainly be using pages from the mags.

When we all run out of toilet paper, we will have to start using a cloth washcloth
or rag and wash it each time like they used to do with cloth diapers back in the day.

This calculator was meant to be useful and fun to ease stress from current situation.
Sorry you couldn't see that.

You were bragging, don't back peddle now LOL, I also use the 1k brand, you need way more of it per use as its thin sheets, it's not the same as fluffy Charmin where you only need a small amount. I'm not stressed one bit btw

I don't see where I was bragging. I was only giving the results of what the calculation said. I don't see any place where I was doing a "winner's dance" nor where I was saying "take that muthaf*ckers". I was only showing the math results of my contents inside my cabinet. Maybe I didn't need to use the word stash, but stash doesn't mean a warehouse full either.

dictionary.com says for stash:
verb (used with object)

to put by or away as for safekeeping or future use, usually in a secret place (usually followed by away): The squirrel stashes away nuts for winter.

noun

something put away or hidden: a stash of gold coins buried in the garden.
a place in which something is stored secretly; hiding place; cache.

It doesn't say anything about me having a truckload of toilet paper. Just because my supply would last a year doesn't mean necessarily that its large. It could just mean I don't go to the bathroom as often during the day and/or that I don't use that many sheets when I'm utilizing it.

So if you decide to look at it in a negative way, that's fine. You're entitled to your own opinion.

I did the calculator again using a Charmin roll with 150 sheets per roll and this is the new calculation for a 14 day quarantine:

You will last 48 days

or 343% of your quarantine

So apparently, Scott Tissue should/and does last longer. The calculator tells you it's the better buy for a quarantine.

Heck I recall back in the day, my mom always said ya only need 4 squares! At that time I never really knew if that was to conserve or cuz our septic tank would clog! Not sure I know yet? Of course the cheap stuff ya may find a finger in your butt! LOL
There are all kinds of ways 2 improvise tho! Like Tia says wash cloth or a rag and rinse it out after. Our news paper ain't good for anything else, not even reading! Used to be Penny s catalog. Or do your business and rinse off it shower after!
BTW to this day I still only use 5 squares! Yea TMI LOL

5 squares of any paper I'm getting it on my fingers, I'm use to pulling on it until I get a handful. How's that for TMI

The reason things are not on the shelves is because people are hoarding a year's supply of something you can live without.

We're wasting gas and time in lines.

The midpoint on the IQ scale means half of us are below average, but that's nature.

Deciding you deserve more than your fair share of a scarce commodity is just plain selfish. Take your extra supply to a shelter for homeless folks or abused women.

Many tia will donate 200 days worth of TP to a woman's shelter and still have over 6 months left for herself
