Batting 0 - 3 on the hobby front recently
Forgive me if it sounds like I'm venting, but I'm honestly more perplexed about the whole course of events. I think the spirit of no nut November has been haunting for a decent portion of this year, the last three times I've tried to meet up with for some fun it didn't end up happening.
And keep in mind, I'm not talking about getting told no at the inquiry, all of these I had already been vetted and had agreed to meet already with something happening at the most comically inconvenient time.
The first one was JoanMD, we texted and setup when to meet and what we were gonna do, the day of she directed me a to general part of Kansas City. I get there and asked where I was heading now that I was in town. Ghosted. No response after many follow-up texts. Something might've come up but she never responded to any follow-up texts days later.
The 2nd one was NaughtyNaomi. Wasn't ghosted on this one, she was originally coming down from Austin to Kansas City but apparently her travel companion flaked on her. Not her fault she wasn't able to make it down.
The last and most recent was Staceyrenee. Same as before, texted, vetted, set date. I even got a hotel address this time! When I get there she's not responding to any texts and I leave after an hour. I later find out that that she had fallen asleep. She apologized for that and we actually reschedule for after Thanksgiving. The morning of the reschedule comes and I send a confirmation text just to be sure. She evidently didn't write our date down because she copy pasted her verification stuff again, at which point I let her know that it was so-n-so (me) and we were supposed to meet last week. I looked back and my verification stuff was still on the same text chain as the one we were using and point that out as well. Was met with radio silence.

So yeah, anybody want me to make bets on teams you don't like? Someone might as well benefit from my string of bad luck.
