Default Is The Attitude Toward Providers Different In Countries Where It Is Legalized

What is the, shall we say, prevalent attitude toward providers in Countries where Prostitution is Legal. In General, are Providers looked upon as successful business women if they are doing very well. After all, we here in America have to deal with the Baptists, which may lead to the guilt that make some Bad Boys feel bad about it.

It's hard to generalize because it's a very wide subject. High class call girls arguably aren't that stigmatized even here. Women trafficked as slaves is thankfully seen as a horrible crime in most places.

Probably the healthiest attitudes on the subject are in southeast Asia (where it's technically illegal but largely ignored), Japan (where only penile/vaginal sex is considered prostitution and the sex industry is almost completely above board) and New Zealand (where it's completely decriminalized).

I have always heard of The Neatherlands as being a very progressive country, and I am considering a visit. I know attitudes vary everywhere, and individual to individual,, but if legalizing it was to ever be proposed here, we know what a uproar that would cause. So I was wondering if the attitudes towards prostitution, in general, was different in those countries where it is accepted, and if the providers are treated differently by being able to publicly express their profession.

I spent a week in Amsterdam, fun, fun and more fun!!

and yes they do not bat an eye at women being Providers,

Example: as I was approaching the Red Light District, I saw a day care two doors down from a incall locations. kids running around having fun and no more than 20 yards away were women selling sex

seems to me the Europeans kicked out the wrong bunch that came to the US..should have kicked out the open minded fun folks instead of the boot licking Puritans!!!

There are very few places in the world where a woman can proudly say she is a sex worker and get the same kind of respect as a professional. There are some places where attitude toward a sex worker is comparable to a waitress.

From my experience, it has less to do with legal status of the profession and more to do with culture and predominant (if there is one) religion.

Vyt, after your response I now want to go to New Zealand too. And are you saying that Japan is rampant with BBBJ?

Thanks for the input Ralphey, the Dutch always seem to be logical people (spoken as someone with a lot of Dutch ancestry, so i might be biased). I am sure there was quite a extensive price range, what would you say was the average that you saw.

Your example of a Day Care 2 doors down speaks volumes about their attitude, Ralphey. Can you imagine that here if, say, an AMP house opened that close to one. Talk about attention.

Red Light District was €50 Euros that was in 2004, for 15 min for NON GFE, cbj then mish, then nut and go.
Kosher has more experience with the GFE Girls but they run about €200 to €300

I tried to pay for 30 min and gave the girl $100 Euro because I was freakin cold!! was about 40 degrees outside, she said sure, then promptly rushed me out after 20 mintues.. oh well lesson learned

not in my lifetime will these backwards ass Zealots repeal these laws.. just like Gay Marriage, more than half the country could care less its the asshole Politicos who think otherwise..

Prostitution of the escort variety is legal in Ireland and yet providers still seek anonymity. The stigma attached to prostitution may be somewhat less than in the USA but it does not disappear with legalization.

that's an interesting point. there's still more of a stigma attached to women who get banged a lot vs men who do. I honestly think it's because its so easy for women to have sex, it's like stealing candy from a a baby. Whereas us guys, we brag about it by saying "we got lucky."

people also blame religious institutions for it being illegal, but I believe that most women would be against it too. I can't imagine a lot of women wanting it legalized, then they'd lose a lot of power over their husbands is he off easily banging a ton of broads.

Just my opinion of course.

Howdy, Folks!

If it had been legalized for a period of time, a lot of those women wouldn't have husbands in the first place.

It it suddenly became legalized, marriage rates might certainly drop even more.

Marriage is on the decline in the USA, anyway:

It seems to me that in Europe there were times when the Courtesan was looked upon much as we might look at movie stars today. Royalty and the very wealthy, particularly in countries such as France, England, and Germany, were very obvious with their mistresses. Did this openness make the idea more acceptable to the wives, in general? I mean if truth were told, some were probably happy their husbands attention was on someone else and left them alone.

thanks for the link Baloney. gonna read up on it tonight.

it definitely seems less and less kids around. shit's gonna be like Children of Men soon.

I certainly don't like having tons of annoying kids around, but I also don't know if its good for society if people aren't reproducing either. guess we'll find out.

if the birth rate becomes too low, i wonder if the government is gonna have State Sanctioned Creampies?

So legalizing it would be a method of population control. Hmmm. Politicians may work with that concept, after all they don't want to spend money for education. I am not advocating population control necessarily, but legalizing prostitution as a method sure beats the hell out of the Chinese method!
