Default Trump Triumphs Again!

When Trump announced his candidacy all the experts said he was a joke. I posted here that he would win, and he did. To me it was a simple call. The experts were all wrong and I was right, as usual. For me it was easy to see how he would defeat the other sixteen Republican hopefuls, and then after he ran away with the nomination it was similarly easy for me to see that against him Hilary didn't stand a chance. Trump is a winner. He always wins because he's intelligent and knows what he's doing. His detractors are not one tenth as intelligent as he is, and they cannot begin to understand what he is doing or how he is doing it. He plays on a different level.

Since he took office there's been a slew of fake leaks from anonymous sources printed by lying media outlets claiming that he and people around him conspired with Putin to interfere with the election. Well now it turns out that all those sources were liars, and there isn't a shred of evidence produced by anyone to back up these claims. Even Comey, the biased and venal bureaucrat posing as an honest man, declared again and again under oath that what the media was printing was untrue.

So now the Russian thing is put aside, and a new set of fake allegations is being cooked up, this time that Trump obstructed justice. There's just one problem. No former prosecutor, judge, or law professor of note says that there is any evidence for it. None. Oh there's CNN's staff "legal expert" Jeffrey Tubin, who claims that it's obstruction for the President to say that he wishes a prosecution would go away. And certain journalists who know nothing about the law like Carl Bernstein say they agree. But what do legal scholars like Alan Dershowitz say? He says NO, there is no obstruction. Even if Trump ordered Comey to end the investigation it still wouldn't be obstruction. So there it is.

What will happen is that there will be no finding of obstruction of justice, colluding with a foreign power, or taking bribes from a foreign government, or anything else. Trump is clean, and always has been. He's spent a lifetime staying out of trouble and avoiding suspicion and he's no different now.

The only difference is that his detractors are so desperate that they'll make up any kind of lie in the moronic hope that somehow they can make it stick.

Go Trump Go!

In the end Trump will go down in history as one of the most successful and effective Presidents in history. Very soon the Congress will formally repeal the failed Affordable Care Act, and that will be the first of many repairs which he will undertake. Trump has by-passed the venal politicians, corrupt and lying media, and is supported by a legion of ordinary Americans who put him in office and will combat any underhanded schemes to obstruct him.

The people have spoken.

Madonna, in your own words, "go fuck yourself."

^^^^^ Love it! Trump is the man. What a waste of tax payer money - the haters just can't see it. Oh well, they'll learn.

Personally, I don't care if there is or is not a Special Prosecutor. Trump is his own worst enemy and more than likely will destroy himself without need of a Special Prosecutor.

I will ask again -- Trump has been in office coming up on 5 months. What significant legislation has been passed or brought forward by him to date? Zero.

Executive orders to temporarily limit immigration -- failed.

AHCA (TrumpCare) is a disaster and in Trump's own words described it as "mean" and asked that it be "more generous". Not sure what that means but hopefully it addresses the Congressional Budget Office estimate that 23 million Americans would be uninsured by 2026. Rather then me give you the downside of the AHCA, peruse these articles. The first article states 29% of the people support the bill and not a single state is in favor of its passage. Oh, and by the way, Trump lied to the American people when he said that those with preexisting conditions would be protected from rising premiums. The only way he got the AHCA through the House was to take out that promise.

http://www.newsweek.com/gop-healthca...mp-jobs-626351
https://www.vox.com/2017/5/4/1554299...dicaid-victims

The temporary budget to get us through September was a slap in the face to Trump. He got very little of what he wanted.

The budget proposal for 2018 is a joke. The poor get screwed (major reductions in Medicaid and food stamps). And it increases the deficit, which Trump said he would reduce.

The proposed income tax proposal is a joke. The rich immediately would make out like bandits since the top rate would be cut by almost 5%. Us middle class folks would get relatively minor tax reductions compared to the rich.

And all of this is a house of cards. It ALL depends on that anticipated major decrease in Medicaid under the AHCA -- $834 billion in savings over 10 years. Every dollar that is added back to Medicaid at the federal level is a dollar that can't be used to support Trump's other plans -- primarily tax reductions and the budget.

So please -- I ask anyone to tell me what significant achievement Trump has accomplished while in office?

Hahahaha Trump has spent a lifetime staying out of trouble? He's actually spent a lifetime dealing with legal trouble, so this is nothing new to him. And he's been suspected of many things like say being a bigot when he printed his ad about the Central Park Five. So I guess he is no different now.

The people have spoken.

There was an even larger legion of ordinary Americans who voted against him so I guess that's cool. And the people have spoke with a 64% disapproval.

Default he has already done it

President Trump has already accomplished the biggest issue of this past election! Insuring America's future by filling the vacant supreme court justice seat. If he does nothing else that will be the biggest and best thing he could do for our citizens. By filling Scalia's old chair this will ensure states rights, the second amendment, the military, and our well being as a nation for years!!
Thank you Mr. President, for protecting us from evil.{Hillary}

That is NOT an accomplishment. Had Gorsuch not been approved, Trump would have nominated another person with very similar views to be the next Supreme Court justice. And had that person not been approved, Trump would have nominated a third. Eventually one of them would have been approved. Eventually replacements are ALWAYS approved. No big accomplishment.

You do realize that even though there is a supposed 5-4 Conservative majority on the court, major cases in the past few years have not gone the expected way -- same sex marriage, gun control, affirmative action, abortion rights.

Well, according to Politifact - that is an accomplishment.

Yes and no. Here is Politifact's statement:

"One of Trump’s most significant achievements so far has been the nomination and confirmation of Neil Gorsuch as a justice on the Supreme Court. But it did not come easy."

It was certainly one of the most significant achievements for Trump because he has had nothing else coming close to a significant achievement. It was a fait accompli. Especially after Republicans changed the rules and invoked the "nuclear option." When people review Trump's accomplishments towards the end of his 1st term and if his most significant achievement is getting Gorsuch confirmed, he will be in serious trouble.

See the Politifact opinion below from Politifact dated June 14th.
Donald Trump's boasts about accomplishments in office ring hollow

"Scholars of the presidency and Congress are unconvinced that Trump’s legislative and administrative output is exceptional by historical standards. Trump has signed a relatively large number of bills so far, but comparatively few with significant impact. And while some of his executive orders have made an immediate impact, most have merely expressed his policy preferences or set in motion a process that may, or may not, change policies down the road."
