I think every hobbyist waxes and wanes a bit. There are a gifted few who go balls to the wall for years but as I said, it's a gift. Most of us come and go from time to time. It's normal.
I think the mods would tell you there are some (even I was guilty in my early days) who guest their account every few months thinking that "they're through with the hobby" or "burned out" as you suggest. Then, one day, the horny hormone begins to flow and they jump right back in.
Taking a break is perfectly normal. Do it if you need it.

I have a really nice incall in a 'luxury' apartment complex and it always freaks me out when a client comes in who has had a bad experience in the past and starts looking through my place for someone hidden in the closet!

I have been around here a LONG time and only experienced burn-out once in my early days....I was living in Phoenix and seeing the same gents over and over and over....I had a "gypsy" itch wanted to travel and seek new adventures...........so I packed up over the weekend and went on the road fulltime.it cured my burn=out qucik!
