This week she's been different. I can't really explain it but little things she's just different. I'm concerned for her. I'm wondering if she ate too much blanket or something. I felt her stomach but can't really tell if it's distended or not. She's not eating much either. But maybe she's just not feeling well.
Is dog-distended the same as human-distended? Like would I be able to palpate it? What am I feeling for? How much time should go by before I take her in? What am I looking for? Its been a while since I've had a dog and I've looked online but not getting any answers really.
She is so calm and timid already that it's hard to tell if anything is wrong. But something tells me she might need to be taken in. I had her first evaluation at the vet spca recommended but I wanna read some other options.
Any advice is most welcome. We love this pup. She's part of the family now.
Is there a great vet in the northeast area of the metroplex that has a decent eval fee?

Being a blanket/sock eater I wouldn't wait to get her into the vet, those strings can wrap around the intestines and kill portions or her. They can do a fairly simple surgery to get her taken care of. They need to do a ultrasound and possibly blood work to see if its something else. They can get flu, colds and other things like we do. If I were close I'd look at her for you. Critters are my thing.
Keep socks and blankets from her, give her a good bone to chew (no knots at the ends) or other toys that won't pose a risk.
