Socials in W.Texas
Why hasn't someone in West Texas started a weekly
Or monthly social? Has this already been discussed?
Which city in West Texas would you pick to host it in?
If you knew about this social a month in advance
And it was a couple hours away, would you travel
To meet, mix and mingle with future possible playmates
And hobbyist? Just curious. They have been great in other cities.
This side of Texas has a huge problem with false advertising ect...
Wouldn't this be a good way to find a lady you really connect with?
Even if she's not in your city, after seeing a great market they may be
Willing to make the trip. Feel comfortable with a potential future friend?
Just curious

Thought these were a no go for the simple reason that LE have an easy time getting faces, license plates etc?
I'm all for it, in the bdsm world they're called munches. Basically you get to meet other like minded people at a restaurant or usually some other public place so you get to talk to one another without all the distractions of a party like other people playing etc.

I travel to austin some and they are big in that same area so i made a post asking who was interested in this area. I had a big response some from every city in west tx. I am a great social organizer but came across one debilitating problem, where can it be held and everyones anonymity still be intact with in our cities. El paso being the largest i c it has potential but where in these towns that are between 100-250000 pop. I could never find a solution

I was with a provider yesterday and I mentioned that I would like to attend an event like in the the movie Eyes Wide Shut. You might have a few that want to remain private and maybe a masquerade party would be a good way to bring us out. Does anyone have or know someone that has a dark secluded mansion that will host, ha ha. But like Keyhole Arc Blow said, it has to be in a public place. I would see a few members organize poker nights or dinners in the DFW, I think that would be cool. I also think the other problem would be that there may be more men than women unfortunately.

My best friend used to be a moderator for the Dallas area. They
used to meet at a bar that was only open on the weekend, they would meet on a weekday. The cool thing was is they started a little poker tournament "no big buy ins" and that was a good way to meet the girls and have something Elise to do at the sametime. They eventually moved it to a strip club, and would have the game there too. I don't know if they still do it because I moved back to Lubbock and my friend and moved to Vegas. But meeting at a strip club would be easy.

I pearsonly think the stip club idea is wrong, perhaps a more mature atmosphere would be more appropriate.

Hardest thing is logistics given that west texas is so spread out.
Best bets are likely Midessa, Amarillo or Lubbock

I have been to a couple in several different cities including Phoenix, Las Vegas, and Dallas. They all were great fun. Once myself and two fellow hobbyists met at a strip club in El Paso along with two new want to be providers. I don't know if you would call that a social.
One great social that was held annually in Phoenix was the annual Christmas toys for children meet and greet. It was generally held at a restaurant/bar but one year it was held at a strip club. It was always well attended by providers and hobbyists both. I went for 4 or 5 years straight and always had a great time.
A provider and I once tried to hold a meet and greet in Albuquerque but no one showed except for us. These socials are great ways of meeting new clients/providers but the fear of someone recording or LE infiltrating is always out there. The best thing would be to set up a social and make it an invitation only event. This is the way that the Phoenix Christmas parties were held. It is a lot of work so someone has to step them up. Good luck and let me know if someone wants to organize one.

Socials in small towns have a different dynamic that those in larger cities such as DFw or Houston or even Austin. I live in Lubbock, and I cant go anywhere without running into someone I know because it is such a small town. Once you meet in public, well you are "out there" . I would rather keep my identity close to my chest.

One assumes this is addressed to the OP and not the immediate previous poster.

I agree that Austin, DFW can have socials better, easier. When we have 5 cities hours apart...it is hard. maybe next time the SO leaves town...might set up something for Lubbock......
