ECCIE loading pages very slowly?
Anyone else having this problem? It reminds me of the slowness problems the old ASPD site had at times.
The last couple days pages are loading up very slowly. This seems like an off and on problem with me. Sometimes pages load quick, somethimes they load slow. Right now everything is running very slow no matter what is clicked on. I have a fast PC and connection and other sites load pages very quickly. It seemed only ECCIE is having this slowness issue. Anyone else experiencing this?

I need 2 pages open, figuring by the time I finish with one, the second might have loaded.

The speed seems to have improved somewhat.
Coincidentally, the "Like" button at the bottom of a post is gone. I don't know whether other features have been turned off.

It's much faster since the "Like" button disappeared.

It may not be the server.
It may be a bug in this version of vBulletin as was pointed out above related to the "Like" button at the bottom of a post that was disabled. vBulletin has a lot of extra features that sometimes do not play well with each other.

Crimson, I m sure that the owners will welcome a new server when you decide to donate the funds to buy one... And no, new servers is not the answer.. and for the record, neither is a re-boot... i'm sure Chris and T have their arms around this and will have it fixed shortly, like they always do...
Given the problems with many other boards and forums, Eccie has generally been one of the more stable ones i have seen... I would like to thank Tbone and Chris for the upgrades and changes that were made when Eccie came online to replace the other site... that had MANY more issues than we have seen here...

With as many as 6,000 users at peak time, ECCIE is doing a pretty good job in technical maintenance.
