Default More guns = more homicides. Period.

Enough is enough

"What the New York Police Department found out, through empirical experience and better organization, was that making crime even a little bit harder made it much, much rarer. This is undeniably true of property crime, and common sense and evidence tells you that this is also true even of crimes committed by crazy people (to use the plain English the subject deserves). Those who hold themselves together enough to be capable of killing anyone are subject to the same rules of opportunity as sane people. Even madmen need opportunities to display their madness, and behave in different ways depending on the possibilities at hand. Demand an extraordinary degree of determination and organization from someone intent on committing a violent act, and the odds that the violent act will take place are radically reduced, in many cases to zero."

No less true today then when it was written in 2012

I suggest that you look up Canadian, liberal writer Gopnik before you say another stupid word. He wrote your little piece and so many other idiotic things. He writes fantasy books as a pastime.

So? I thought you liked fantasy. Like 777's disappearing and turning up on a deserted island under shrubs and netting.

Enough is enough. Innocent people are dying for your fucking delusional fetishization that is fed by an irrational fear of being attacked by an armed assailant, even though the odds of that happening are very low.

You have a better chance of dying in a car crash.

Yeah you sure do have a better chance of getting killed in a car crash. Nobody is trying to restrict crazy people from driving or reducing the number of cars on the road. Driving isn't even a right people have. If you think about it the guy who would shoot a bunch of people on a college campus drove a car to get there. so if he shouldn't have a gun he shouldn't have a car either. Just because you've never been a victim of a crime doesn't mean the odds are low. If someone forcibly enters your house unarmed then arms himself with one of your kitchen knives what are you going to do? How do you think it would turn out?

Exactly. You have a better chance of dying in a car crash and yet he uses the rationalization of being the victim of a crime as a reason to hold on to his guns. The odds of being a victim of a violent crime are low. Several factors can make them even lower.

Well if the odds are so low why are you so concerned about gun control? I thought we were having a rash of mass shootings that called for more stringent gun control measures. Besides answer the fucking question. If you find yourself confronted with an armed intruder what are you going to do?

1. Avoiding places and times where and when violent crimes are prevalent.
2. Avoid unnecessarily pissing other people off.

Ask Hillary Clinton how she's doing in the polls with her "campaign."

Then ask Bill how she's doing while she's standing there beside him.

LLIdiot, did you ask your favorite Wilted Shrub how Shrubbie did in the polls with his "campaign?"

LLIdiot, you know who I'm speaking of, don't you? The same Wilted Shrub who is forever known as: The Most Unpopular (and incompetent) President in Modern US History.

http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com...odern-history/

Tell us LLIdiot, how many times did you vote for the Wilted Shrub?

Does your little pee pee hurt? You just stepped on it.

Yes, we could be hurt or injured in a car wreck. So what do we do? We wear seat belts and drive defensively. We don't ban cars idiot. Concealed carry is the equivalent of seat belts. Not an answer for everything and not a guarantee that you live but it increases the chance you get out alive.

The antonym of "IS" is "BigTex"! Does that help?

Driving a car is not protected by the second, but it requires more training, regulation, registration, licenses and insurance, than buying a gun.
