SWOP-Dallas

I've been familiar with the organization SWOP (for those of you unfamiliar:http://www.swopusa.org) for many years.

And I always thought that Dallas should have a chapter and well, it looks like someone finally has started one: http://swop-dallas.org

Is anyone here involved with this local group? A few weeks back, I sent in my information to try to get involved, and then did it a second time, and never heard anything back.

Just curious. The group is very active in Seattle and San Francisco. Chicago is active, too. Nothing here in Texas, much. Several years ago, a lady tried starting one in Austin and it just didn't make.

Have you tried contacting Amanda Brooks http://www.eccie.net/member.php?u=7883 She's about the most activist minded provider I have heard of in this area. She might be able to tell you what is going on with this group.
