My vehicle is sounding really bad took it to a place here in Dubuque yesterday and they put looked at it and the thing they plug into it to see why check engine light is on came up with like 5 things but they didn't think any of those things were the problem. They said the sound sounds like its coming from inside the lower engine, might be something with the tranny.
I'm heading to Davenport/bettendorf, does anyone know a honest mechanic that can take a look at my SUV and tell me what is wrong and if I am going to be able to make it back to Lincoln in it?

I made it to Davenport and I called a friend back in Lincoln and told him the codes that are showing and he told me, just drive her slow and easy back home, he said the codes that are showing shouldn't make me brake down but the noise in the engine might mean I just need to look into getting a new vehicle or having my engine rebuilt.
