Is it possible to vote a moderator off of staff?

it is my belief that there is one particular moderator who has befriended too many members on this site and i believe is using his moderator status to protect certain members from sanctions when they violate board rules and then unnecessarily punish others without just cause. i have been told by this staff member repeatedly that this (ECCIE) is not going to be run like the old ASPD, but he says one thing and does another.

is there a process to vote a moderator off of the staff if it is apparent that he is abusing his position?

NOPE..... The Mods I have Put in Place and Control through Party Favors, Beer and in Sixxbachs, case, beef jerky treats...... Are there to stay until I revoke my support.....

Isn't that what you are alluding to? Give it a break man.... You have are turning into the biggest wuss to post on the board in years.....

We have no say on who is a Mod....

Mods volunteer or are asked to volunteer and serve at the whim of the owners...

Just because none of them are willing to listen to you and then support you after you take every opportunity to question their integrity and honesty does not mean they are corrupt and should be replaced..... It just means that to them, like most of us, you simply don't matter,,,,,,

Personally... I would have shut off the half dozen accounts I BELIEVE to be yours and sent an email to each of the saying to call me tomorrow between 10:00Am and 10:10AM to discuss reactivating them......

But alas..... I have not been called to serve....

thanks but i was not referring to you. i think the moderators should answer this question. personally i believe you would not be suitable as a moderator as you appear to have a certain ego-driven agenda that would not serve the best interests of the board, nor would you be able to demonstrate any objectivity whatsoever.

Since you want to hear this from a Moderator, then I will gladly answer your query, even though it has already been answered in the above quote. If you have a problem with any staff member and/or their actions you can take your issue to TBone, St.Christopher, or Becky for resolution.

Just for the record, I have offerred to step down as I have no ego to satisfy here. I am a Mod because I was asked to help out during a time of turmoil on the board, not because I sought the assignment. The owners have indicated that they would like for me to continue in this capacity.

Let's go back to having fun, shall we?

And then what? He makes threats about the next Mod and the Mod after that until he gets the ones he wants?

It would be a sad day to see you step down.... I think I would just quit posting if they gave this guy his way. I don't see that happening and I'm glad they did not accept your resignation....

I like your style John Tx. I know exactly who you are talking about and what they are doing and not doing. I sure hope this does not turn into a ASPD copy site.

Doing my part in making sure this never turns into a copy of ASPD and it looks like John Tx is doing his part also
